I feel so bad, I wasn't riding a bike for whole year, but probably this weekend I'll try to have some fun on hills/mountains like Lysa Hora (8,4km, 8,3%, el. 697m), Javorovy (5,8km, 7%, el. 400m) or funny Prašivá (2,7km, 10,1%, el. 264m) and couple of 12% short hills, which we have there...I hope I won't die.

Die hard fan of Tom Boonen and Quickstep since 2004.

Nice but scary to see how you compare to the superhuman pros.
Found out that, while getting dropped, Dowsett rode Ditchling Beacon about a minute and a half quicker than me |

So, great holiday, and next years it'll be the Alps!!!
Sounds like some great climbing there. Would love to try my hand at something like that. Need to chase up my supposedly freebie Pyrenean cycling holiday that doesn't seem to be materialising... |

Just my feeling living in a pan flat area where bridges are the biggest climbs you can get. |

I'm probably the only guy in my area that likes cycling and I'm relatively active as you can see from my Strava account.
Though I have the "luck" of living in the most flat region of Italy, if I were born in any other region of Italy i would have got some climbs.
In Apulia we have some hilly places, but they're too far from where I live

Damn Nils, really some... well, exciting race days. Hope everything's all right now after the crash. If I crashed so hard that it split my helmet, I'd probably be off the bike for a month, scared and stuff.

Reminds me of today. I did a mountainbike & Hiking mix with a friend up one of the big local mountains (steep son of a bitch), and when we went downhill with the bike, we passed a sheep who was just giving birth. A bit of the head of the baby sheep was still in there. The things you see on a bike.

Looks like I am back at it again on starting Friday evening https://www.everesting.cc. Going to attempt this little climb in the Dandenongs foothills Colby Drive https://www.strava.com/segments/724929 its a Strava Cat 4 1.3 k's with a average grade of 5%. It should take 105 repeats over 333 k's to get the required 8848 vertical metres. Doing this one with another rider which is the main reason I'm having a go at my 3rd Everest, I am still not in great condition but I have a night off work so why not have a crack
Hells 500 Crew and 6 x Everester
Don Rd Launching Place
Melbourne Hill Rd Warrandyte
Colby Drive Belgrave South
William Rd The Patch
David Hill Rd Monbulk

Hoping to get a new road bike next year, I am aiming for this Boardman bike. Carbon frame and aluminium wheels, Going take me about 8 months to save up (b-day and Christmas money)
Then I will need to buy a Garmin computer (most likely 500) then I need shoes, pedals and clothing So that will take me a year ish |

not much worse, still almost 4 times as cheap as the bike I have my eye on (which is about 29765,76 danish kroner or 3999 european euro) a true case of shut up and take my money

Good luck Strydz - 5% and a longer distance is probably what I'd go for if I was ever that crazy (and fit)!

If you're going to buy online, i can recommend this shop/bike:
https://www.rosebi...aid:745547
Only downside is the aluminium frame but it comes with a complete Shimano 105 groupset, better parts and is lighter. You can also customize gear ratio, amount of spacers, stem length and handlebar width for free, other upgrades are difficult with a tight budget.
I'm a bit biased towards that brand, though, so it comes down to personal preferences. |

Nice to have that on the doorstep! Good luck - you going for under an hour or are you planning on taking it easy?
*Off topic edit - how do I get my sig to display properly? :/

I tried to fix your sig by changing the URL tags to IMG, but I think what youll actually need to do is save the image and upload it somewhere else. Would mean it wouldn't update, but don't think there is another way

Thanks for trying, I'd given that a try already. Nevermind no biggie anyway.
