After an early four-game losing streak, we have lost one game in our last 13 matches. The idea of promotion is slowly starting to creep in. Then, league-leading goal scorer Daniel Akindayini went down with a nasty injury.
I was given the choice to move up as a striker, but I've decided I can do the most damage in the midfield. Coach Jason Maguire did mention he might move me up into more of attacking midfield role if we are struggling offensively.
Match Day #19 at AFC Sudbury (9-4-5) Sudbury is riding a three-game winning streak and climbing the table.

 Clement Palimaru finishes a simple front post cross and panic sets in. Coach Maguire switches the tactics and bingo! Marcus Diamond gets forward and buries a beauty.
Rating: 6.9 - My only shining moment was my second goal of the season and third goal of my career. But, you can't place more in the corner than that with the kiss off the post.
Player of Game: Luke Mallett, Witham (8.2)
Match Day #20 vs. Thamesmead (5-11-2) Can we keep Thamesmead spiraling toward relegation?

Summary: Absolute thrashing. Take a bow Luke Mallett with a career game by stepping up with a hat trick and an assist.
Rating: 8.1 - I played up the field mostly trying to poach a goal and because they didn't really test us defensively.
Player of Game: Luke Mallett, Witham (9.8)
Match Day #21 at Heybridge (9-6-5) Beating up on the little guys doesn't prove strength, this game does.

Summary: Stepped on their throat from the jump on a 5th minute goal from Marcus Diamond. Elliot Ronto finally surfaced for two goals, one on a wonder one-time volley that left Witham supporters wondering where that has been all season.
Rating: 9.0 - My goal wasn't as sexy as Ronto's finish. In fact, I got pretty lucky with the goalkeeper looking like a zombie. I also set up Ryan Charles with a perfect through ball in the 73th minute for an assist.
Player of Game: Marcus Diamond, Witham (9.0)
Match Day #22 vs. FC Romania (11-5-4) A team that promoted into the league and are still going strong.
Spoiler FC Romania 1, Witham 0
Summary: Now we know what the rest of the league was complaining about. FC Romania packs it in and parks the bus and relies only on the counter. They bore us into submission and steal a 1-0 victory.
Rating: 6.8 - Their defense was too strong to breakdown.
Player of Game: Keano Deacon, FC Romania (7.1)
Match Day #23 vs. Barton Rovers (3-13-7) Start of the second half of the season with the team in last place.
Spoiler Witham 3, Barton Rovers 0
Summary: Elliot Ronto strikes again for a brace. Seriously, where was this earlier in the year? King buries a penalty for his fifth goal of the season.
Rating: 8.2 - With Ronto going off, I think I made the right decision to stick it out in the midfield.

League Standings (23/44 Games Played)
Six points separate the Top 6. Romania is on a roll looking for back-to-back promotions. Even though we smacked Harrow 6-0 earlier in the season and have the higher goal difference, it's a random draw tiebreaker.
The game everyone has circled on their calendar is next: Canvey Islands FC.
Marcus Diamond sat out the first meeting against his former team with an injury and Canvey Island won 2-0. A hostile environment certainly awaits in the return leg to Diamond's hometown.

- Stats work on a decimal system starting at 1.0.
- Stats are bumped up in FM when they hit that number, ex. 2.9 = 2 in-game, and 13.4 = 13 stat in-game.
- The decimal numbers will remain hidden.
- There is a threshold for each stat when more points are needed to increase that stat. It's start off on a 1-to-1 scale where 1 point equals 1 stat upgrade. However, the scales get exponentially further and further apart the closer that stat gets to the maximum of 20. The increasing scale will also remain a mystery and is different from the cycling progression scale.

Awesome to see Ronto in some form just when he is most needed. Also allows Marcus to stay in midfield, where he's continuing his good form, awesome
