But surely he's been there and done that with the Tour. His palmares will always be questioned if the Tour is the only GT he wins. Also what does he gain by racing the Vuelta less than 100%? His aim is to win it so I wouldn't be so sure that his form/condition is any less then at the Tour. He's already won a stage and put 1.30 into Contador.
As I said earlier, his aim is to win the Vuelta and the win the Giro next year and then the Tour again. He will then hold all 3 GTs at once and will have won 4 GT's in a row.
That's the plan. Whether or not he'll achieve it is another question. |

I think Sky is obsesed with Tour, not Froome. Froome has ridden in last 6 years, 5 times Tour and 5 times Vuelta.
Armstrong never rode Giro or Vuelta in his 7 years of Tour's wins and only rode in his career once both GT (Vuelta in 98', 4th overall; Giro in 09', 11º overall) |

The way I see it...
Contador: He's not in the best position to win, neither is this his best season. But I still remember that Vuelta where he launched an attack 80km. away from the finish line and ended up winning. He's not the kind of rider one would take for granted.
Valverde: This is definetly his most succesful race and so far he seems to be hanging on there pretty well. Tiredness is his biggest enemy though, which leads me to
Froome: Arguably the best GT rider of the moment, he is covered by a team that can virtually control anything. Unless his rivals step up, he remains as the top favourite in my humble, undocumented opinion.
Quintana: No, he is NOT overrated, people... he's just not Marco Pantani. We haven't even reached the real mountain in this Vuelta, so we'll have to be on the lookout for him.
Chaves: Not many people are talking about him, but wait for it. He's a fine climber when it comes about short, steep mountains like those in the Vuelta. And he's Colombian (that's also a plus) 
Rubén Fernández: Nobody would have put his name before watching yesterday's stage. Seems to be on top condition, but then again, we'll have to wait for the toughest mountain in this year's Vuelta, which is yet to come.

For me it looks like Froome is serious and want to win. But looking at his team it doesn't look as strong as this year's Tour, and Movistar's team looks stronger. But too many cooks might spoil the broth, so...

I've only read Zlatans...and it was really amazing and at least felt non-scripted

Yeaah David Walsh just made up few storys from Kenya. I have read ton's of sport books. Some are excellent..some quite bad.
To say that Froome book all is lie..is just foolish. |

99% of books about cycling and especially biographies are absolute lie, as they ignore doping, the most important thing in history of cycling.
