That was some match. Unfortunately it's probably turned out to be the runner-up competition.

What a brilliant game of tennis that was, a pity that Andy couldn't see it through

Not as bad as the US Open, but neither are great - shouldnt have the semi finals on different days

Indeed, and if the two semis are on different days, at least have the No.1 seed on the first of those days, since then at least they've earned that position.
As for Murray, I think he showed today that he's in a good position to win a grand slam this year, whereas previously it seemed like he'd need a bit of luck to go all the way.

I agree he's in a good position to win a grand slam. in 4th position.
If offense is the best defence, does it mean that defence is the worst defence?

You know what I mean That was a different level of tennis to that which he's previously shown, imo. He wasn't going to win a grand slam unless he improved his game, and maybe he still won't. Who knows?

Glad I was proved wrong
Incredible how anyone can last 6 hours of tennis at that intensity after 5 hours a couple of days earlier...and win.

Maria Sharapova completes the career Grand Slam by winning 2012 Roland Garros. Being a Sharapova fan, I'm really happy right now.

No one cares about Woman's tennis I guess
They wear short dresses
Anyway, quite late news, waiting for someone else to post to avoid a double but:
The French Open final was suspended for Monday.

Rafa Nadal won the French... if anyone... cares...
Isn't tennis supposed to be popular in Europe?

Not surprised to see Nadal take the French Open, Djokovic had been in the from of his life until France, where he played pretty ordinary tennis, and then met the worlds greatest clay court player in the final!
