Well to win the Tour you have to be lucky with crashes etc and Nibbles has done just that, you cant just say he is an undeserved winner as he's proved he was in great form and would have likely won anyway, even without Contador's crash/abandon :/
Such a shame though, I have to say
Of course Nibali wouldn´t have won, the race yesterday showed that Contador was in better form and Nibali would have been destroyed today.
Yes of course, he'd have lost 15 mins by now by your standards, Contador would be lucky to get 30 seconds here and there...
One thing you will learn if you follow cycling is that nowhere in hell would a leader give sec´s if he could avoid it.
So yesterday was just a few seconds but it was a indication that he simply couldn´t have followed.
Jacdk, I know its hard for you not to be retarded but, he lost 3 seconds, yes 3 seconds! Its not a large gap and all we know, Nibali just decided to just roll in, after all he had a 3 minute lead already on Contador, he was never going to lose that much, Nibbles is a fighter and can let a gap grow out, only for him to bring it back (just like in Vuelta 2010)

Sorry what? Trolling or actually serious?
Actually he is 100% right.
Who ever wins didn´t win because they were the best, they will win because they were just lucky enough to be apart of the race when the biggest favorites left the tour do to crashes.
So that makes Nibali (most likely) undeserved winner? You're surprising me more and more every day. It's just ridiculous.
Nibali always delivers We start that talk/fighting with ruben 3 years ago..when he was saying that Gesink has more GC material then Nibali. And he was usually better then Nibali. My side was..who cares who is best ..Nibali almost always delivers. And so already 3 years to row. As we can see again. |

You're really fucking stretching the truth there. Maybe he would've overtaken Nibbles but as you [as a self-professed follower of cycling] should know, one short climb on one day isn't anyway near enough information to project that onto many days of longer climbs. Who knows how Conta would've gone? Who knows whether his form was increasing or waning?

Nibali luckiest rider on the planet. The 2 opponents that clearly climb better than him DNF before the first serious mountain..
lol
And Quintana not here. So Nibali wins by default |

In terms of the Specialized thing it is worth noting that the French TV report that everyone else has latched onto may have been mistranslated. It could be the first of these:

What you call luck, is sometimes actually a skill.
All hats off to Panzerwagen, he is a freak.

Top 5 from last year Froome, Quintana, RodrÃguez , Contador , Kreuziger will not be in top 5 this year. Rodriguez is 1hr down slready so I dont think he will get back.
This is first time this happens since WWII in 1948. |
