And if Cancellara will continue to ride as dumb as he is now, then he will never win Milan San Remo again.... |

There's hoping
I think he won't have much of a chance anymore anyway.
Next year's profile will be too hilly. |

I just checked the Danish news, and they're writing something rather interesting,
"We are a little envious of the Norwegians, but only a little."
Seems like we Danes can't win any races anymore. |

What was he supposed to do?
He himself said in interview he didn't want to attack again and bring someone ass as he did last past years..

I completely agree with Yves, does Fabian think he is Cipollini? He always goes in the sprint when he's not a sprinter. He should have tried just like nibali. To my mind, he ought to have taken profit when Rast was ahead of the peloton.
P.D.: Nevertheless, Cancellara is my favourite rider and I understand it has been a tough day, for example look at Sagan |

Seems I didn't miss much then? Was it a rather drab race?
A nice sprint from Kristoff, he is going to be really interesting to watch later this season once we get to more sprint classics. Really deserved.

Ciolek unfortunately a bit blocked in the end. He looked fast enough to get something between 3-5 otherwise.
And what a shame that Degenkolb punctured there. He looked very strong until then and could possible have challenged Kristoff a bit more. |

Flippin eck'. Cavendish looked like he was controlled by one of those inexperienced PCM players who doesn't form a train and sprints as soon as possible, Sagan wasn't bothered and BMC and Trek's lack of a sprinter showed- Cancerllara isn't winning any sprints anytime soon. To be honest, Milan-San Remo had Kristoff all over it. Where was Boonen?

I only cared enough to watch a 10 minute highlights and I found it rather boring, is it just my lack of interest or was it really dull

Who was caught in that crash towards the end by the way?

80% it was Battaglin. ( it could have also been Finetto, either one of them )

The second. Only the rain and Nibali's attack were really noteworthy, so yeah it was rather dull.

Btw also a really good chance Nordhaug will be Belkins sole leader in the Ardennes.
Mollema doesn't look like he does have any kind of form and Gesink will only do AGR. Besides Nordhaug looked really strong today, and I think he wanted to attack on the Poggio but then he got boxed right at the moment he wanted to go.

To be fair to Cancellara it was very much a strong man sprint in the end - Cancellara "outsprinted" the likes of Cavendish, Swift and Modolo and only Kristoff (increasingly the tough conditions/long race man) was the only one stronger and he put bike lengths into everyone. |

Cav got a reasonable run behind Modolo (I think) to move up before launching but looked more a case that he was empty when he tried to open up. Pretty much like all of them looked except Kristoff. I guess 300km in the rain can do that to you

I've always found the MSR the least interesting monument and today's race was quite boring as well (unlike last year) Could've been good if somebody like Gilbert had gone with Nibali and I can't believe that Cancellara didn't link up with Rast on the Poggio. Great win for Kristoff though and a rider designed to sprint after a 300km race, disappointed that Sagan didn't make a challenge in a race made for him, but he probably missed Moser. Ben Swift finishing 3rd didn't see that coming in a million years and ahead of a suffering Cavendish, a shame about Greipel getting dropped and having to fight back. Finally great ride by Tjallingii and really highlighted the race, even though I can't say his name. |

Great win for Kristoff, very dominant performance and deserved winner, in weather much suited to the viking.
Surprisingly enough, Sagan says he suffered a lot because of the rain and cold weather, strange when he is usually doing great in brutal conditions. In the end he was boxed according to his words and didnt have the power to break it.
Very nice 7th from Stybar, real powerhouse. And i like how he didnt lead out Cav,but went on his own.
