Also, doping is in every sport. Probably even more in tennis and football than in cycling, since there's less or no testing.
Impact of doping in performance of an actual game of football is way much smaller than in cycling.
Yes, but using products to enhance their muscle building to improve strength is a pretty big advantage to, for example, defenders...
Okay, but look at Barcelona (not saying they aren't using some shit), their success is based on one thing and one thing only: ball goes faster than human. Their style of play needs no endurance or physical strength, just team chemistry, movement without the ball and passing technique.
"Ball goes faster than human", "movement without the ball" and "needs no endurance". Three sentences that mixes like oil and water.
I'm sorry for sounding rude or anything, but have you ever played football? Endurance is a hell of an important asset, regardless of playing style. Barcelonas' style is all about short bursts of speed, something which is incedibly tiring in the long run.
Excuse me, I've been playing football for over 10 years. And if you had ever played it you would know that playing against team that controls the ball more than you makes you more tired.

That doesn't mean that huge gains can't be made from doping for the team with the ball.

Lovely short film about "the 2013 Arrowhead Ultra 135, a winter ultra-endurance race held in northern Minnesota."
Hm, didn't really want to creat a thread just for this video. So I hope it's okay to post in here. Maybe a general Video thread for cycling videos would be good.

That would explain all those unknown Argentinians suddenly being good climbers.
That or...you know....the fact that there's very little testing outside of Europe
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

Plus see Phinney's tweet in the other thread. Too bad it wasn't an Italian complaining about local riders being pushed by the crowds or hanging to vehicles.

Hate that attitude of some people that the Tour is bliss and the rest is nothing.
Most of that comes from Sponsors because the Tour is so massive around the world. Nothing comes close to it in terms of scale.
In the past if you wanted to become known you did Le Tour so the big names go and it get bigger and bigger.
Only in the last 20 years or so have the other GT's and races started to grow their mass appeal and it could take another 20 years for them to match le Tour

There were plans from the UCI to change the WT calender and make the Giro and Vuelta only two weeks races (I think you already know about that). I really hope that that won't happen because then there won't be a race which could beat the Tour and that will be very bad for cycling.
