Let it start (again)

The stage has been raced and I dare say it held a bit more action that I had expected...

Nice to hear that this continues! Curious for the result, and still desperate for a Kelderman stage-win

Stage 40: Bagnac – Brive-la-Gaillarde
Real life: Real life: Cavendish took the stage ahead of Goss and Sagan.
10 strong riders get in the early break. Still it will be a tough one for Hunter, Stannard, Astarloza, Arashiro, Malori, Ignatiev, Moser, Casar, Hoogerland and van Rensburg.
When biggest the gap was up to 9 minutes, but with 100 km to go the sprinters teams really start putting on the pressure.
With 25 km to go the gap has been brougt down to 1'30'' and a bunch sprint seems unavoidable.
Casar has no intent of giving up! With 15 km to go he is alone with a minute on the peloton.
Going in to the final 10 km's Casar is the last rider still out front, while Nibali has placed himself near the front of the peloton to avoid getting caught by crashes.
6 km to the line and it's over for the Frenchman.
What a surprise! With 5 km to the line Nibali goes on the attack on the last small hill. No one is there to follow him...
3 km to the line and it's everyone against Nibali, who has half a minutes gap. None of the teams seems to be able to agree who should do the work here...
In the final few km's the chase completely dissolves in crashes and lack of determination.
This is exactly the kind of attitude that has put Nibbles in front of the GC!

The crash was probably just the result of 170 people chasing Nibbles on a descent
Evans attacked early and just managed to hold the others at bay to take 2nd place.
Spoiler Guess you're gonne have to take the wins you can get - no matter how small
