Bosisio/Utensilnord, Schildge/Jamis-Hagens Berman, Van de Bak/An Post, Fernandes/OFM-Quinta da Lixa, O'Leary/Bontrager Cycling and Scott/MG Maxifuel are the six riders in today's break and they have 6m 4s back to the peleton
Norris/Team Raleigh is chasing them down but is finding it hard to close the gap
Sutton/Team Novo Nordisk is looking comfortable back in the peleton
The lead is now under three minutes
SPRINT - Schildge/Jamis-Hagens Berman
The escapees enter the last twenty kilometres
The peleton are nearly back on terms with the breakaway
Sutton is getting delivered to the line safely to make sure he stays out of trouble as the race reaches its finale
The final sprint is off just as the pack make contact and Swlft looks odds on favourite
And he doesn't disappoint and crosses the line closely followed by his team mates

A dominant performance from the whole team today but i have mixed emotions about the outcome.
Whilst it was a Great stage win for Ben Swift, i have to feel sorry for Gary Sutton in losing out on the Overall race victory by just 6 seconds.
Still we leave Scotland with the Overall Race win, two stage victories and the Points Classification, so it was a job well done. |
