I don't think I saw anyone post this:
He clarified later that he means it is possible for a clean rider to do it, not that the race is 100% clean, but that everything is within the range of human possibility.
Saw it too, but didn't post it again.
I'm starting to believe he's lost in his own standards.
Generally, after arguing it was 5,9 W/kg (410 standardized Watts) he said the limits for a clean riders was about 5,9 W/kg (410) during 20 minutes, and about 5,6 (390) during 60 minutes. It's also well-documented that the regression between 20-60 minutes is almost linear.
Now he claims it's humanly possible to do 5,8 during 50-55 minutes. Bemusing. |

Duarte looking to go up to Chalapud, with Arredondo with him.
EDIT: Nope, Pantano Gomez, not Duarte. Blame Carlton Kirby, I should have known better.

Well obviously. This is perfect for Colombians or any riders living a lot at high altitudes like this.

As said on the previous page there is little long-term advantage to those born at altitude and given that most of the riders here will have done some altitude training recently, there shouldn't be a huge notable difference. Further, it assumes that all Colombians live at altitude, which is simply untrue. Not only that but people like Quintana live at a fairly low altitude in Europe.

Final result: 1. Quintana; 2. Uran; 3. Arredondo; 4. Duarte; 5. Anacona; 6 - 12. Rest of Team Colombia; 13. Seb. Henao; 14. Kelderman...
Spoiler I put Kelderman there in case you didn't know I was joking... |

Quintana spend two months before Tour in Colombia in 2013. He did the same thing too after Cataluyna too. If not the cold today Colombians would own this massively today.
