I know, but you said it wasn't up to UCI - it certainly is, to some extent. |

Sky sends a very strong team, but I think the battle for first place will be between Orica-GreenEDGE and OPQS. BMC is strong on paper but I don't think they really have the "team spirit" and cohesion OPQS and Orica have.
Yaaay, I finally predicted something right
Shame I couldn't witness it live. |

Can wait for the U23 TT. The winners have a tendency to go on to do great things compared to the road race winners.

The last 10 years TT winners:
Markus Fothen (shit)
Janez Brajkovic (Top 10 GC rider at best)
Mikhail Ignatiev (shit)
Dominique Cornu (shit)
Lars Boom (Better than blah)
Adriano Malori (Better than blah)
Jack Bobridge (Blah)
Taylor Phinney (Potential star rider, not yet fulfilled)
Luke Durbridge (Potentially better than blah)
Anton Vorobyev (Blah)
The last 10 years RR winners:
Sergey Lagutin (Shit)
Kanstantsin Sioutsou (Blah)
Dmitriy Grabovski (Shit)
Gerald Ciolek (Better than blah)
Peter Velits (Top 10 GC rider when best)
Fabio Duarte (Better than blah)
Romain Sicard (Blah)
Michael Matthews (On his way)
Arnaud Demare (Blah)
Alexey Lutsenko (Better than blah)
Can't see either being better than the other really...
From the last 10 years of U23 RR medalist, only John Degenkolb and Carlos Betancur really stand out I think. On the TT side Vincenzo Nibali and Marcel Kittel.
So it's pretty well mixed I'd say, although the U23 RR is much more interesting I think.
Who should I look for today besides the aussies?

Sicard can't be blah, he has to be shit. On a serious note, Lagutin is way better than him. |

Démare is blah? Really? How can Démare be blah while Duarte is better than blah?

Hansen, Sütterlin, Van Baarle, Paillot, Campenaerts, Golovash, Gougeard. Maybe I've missed a few guys here though... |

Upgrade Demare to better than blah then
Sicard is blah because he is cool in the Man-Game. No questions needed!

Thanks. Golovash wasn't on my list as potential interesting riders. I have put a few bucks on Sütterlin podium already so I'm crossing my fingers for him. Paillot and Gougeard are on my Man-Game Team, so they are obviously awesome. Hansen will suck though I think.

Like I missed Craddock, he should be able to do really well. |

Amazing ride by Craddock. Went down pretty hard, but still managed to post the fastest time. Hats off to you, sir.
Louis Meintjes should have a decent TT, but the route is totally against him. He's only 173cm and 61kg. I expect him to do well in the RR

I definitely have better odds with van Baarle, Sterobo and Sütterlin

Mentjies won't win anything, but he'll have a decent result (by African standards)

Craddock has the best time so far, even though he fell halfway the route.
After finishing, the doctors treated his wounds with surgical spirit and he fainted. No worries, though, he 's fine and beaming on the hot seat. =) |

Meersman can't race for Belgium Sunday either. Monfort replaces him
