I got tickets for the Lions Vs. Giants at Ford Field, Week 16. Hopefully the Giants keep winning so it's makes the last home game for the Lions more meaningful.

Jacksonville making Houston look like the worst team in the league..
Miami running all over Cam Newton as they lead the Panthers at halftime,.
Green Bay proves that they need Rodgers as they trail Minnesota early second half..
Tampa Bay shows they still have talent as they lead Detroit
St. Louis remains in the hunt for now as backup QB Clemons leads Chicago..

Anytime I scrolled through the rules, I always thought "how the hell can 15 minutes overtime not be enough to score? like, ever?".
Guess we found out today -

Yeah I meant score after the initial possessions. Cold+late+tired=difficult to get things across in a foreign language
While we're at it: are there any statistics to how much the OT win-loss ratio for the team winning the coin toss are?
I feel this is the the most extreme example of how luck influences winning chances in any team sport I've ever come across.

It used to be even worse. Even a field goal by the initial possession team would win it.

Well Rams-49ers had a tie last year, and I think with the current rules we're due for one tie each season.
@bbl: Completely agree.
@cio: Well I don't know about the stats, but with the old rules 60% of the time the team that wins the toss wins the game. I would guess that it's pretty close to 50%.
And it was the right time to jump off the Texans bandwagon, as shown in the prediction game. And bookies thought that the Texans could give 10? Bullshit

Aehem... It may have been their 9000th fumble, but also a great (and yes, lucky) comeback! Definitely one of the greatest Games Ive ever seen!
And before everyone comes out and saying it was all down to luck, mind you, great comebacks often are!

Regarding the OT talk, Brian Burke tweeted that the new OT favors the receiving team 54/45. |

Not with a 20mph wind!
I think Belichick is getting a little too much credit for that call to defer though.
