Have you watched this TdF? A Top 10 is definitely realistic, 5th place won't surprise me either. Though his recovery isn't that good.
I wouldn't say his recovery is that bad. He suffered towards the end of the Tour due to a crash in the Chorges TT, iirc.

I know he did well in the TDF but near the end he was falling apart a bit and droppedto 9th was it? I guess top 10 would be realistic.
Would riders like froome, wiggins or quintana be there. Rodriguez will be there, im guessing but he is quite old so his recovery could be a little dodgy. |

True, but still, I think that's his weak point(along with his TT vs some other stage-races ofc). Considering there aren't a lot of TTkms this Vuelta iirc, I think his recovery and 'bad freshness'after TdF are the only things stopping him from a Top 5 this year. Starting list isnt thát strong.
@Luis Leon As said, that was also a bit due to his fall. And he worked his ass of for (sick) Mollema the last stages.

Im going to say that Movistar will have the strongeat team. Valverde as leader and rui costa who is a good climber. Bets on Valverde. Kruiziger wilk be stuffed. Quintana is a possibility. Wiggins would be a possibility if sky let him. |

Nibali wasnt in the Tour, he will ride the Vuelta as preparation for the WC, so I dont expect him to do very well.

FYP
Will Purito actually participate? Procyclingstats says so, but they also say that Kelderman participate, so not 100% accurate I guess.

Kreuziger is probably not really strong in a real role as leader, in the shadow he is stronger. He is quite explosive I believe, regarding the AGR this year. Henao or Uran will battle for leadership, Purito might participate, not confirmed. If he participates, he is one of the favorites obviously

I guess Betancur will be there, so def expecting him to climb with the best. Looks like AG2R is sending Pozzovivo as well, so will be a good team for the climbs. |

If Purito wins a GT I'm pretty sure the world would implode. He is doomed to forever be the also-ran.

He has been suffering from sickness lately, though. We'll have to wait and see if he can reach Giro level.

Ten Dam like all Belkin riders suffer from 3 week curse. They allways get ill or crash in the 3 week that prevent them from making a Podium or Top 5 in GT. |
