Wait... What?!
What an amazing result!
A break won, I assume?
My plan was actually to finish top10 with Breschel (sponsor goal). But I didn't want to lead the peloton or so, so I put Morkov and Kump in a breakaway. When the better cobblestone riders attacked from the peloton (73-75) and came up to me, I put Kump to protect Morkov. I had it like this for a while, and in the end (40 km before the finish line) I put Morkov on dot 80%, and he won!
Only 0'18'' before Cancellara and Boonen!

A very hard, but nice challenge
A bit one-dimensional though, same as Argos.
Nice thing of Garmin is that they are decent on everything!
Also, both Argos & Garmin seem to have a lot of talent.
Also, you mentioned Netapp. Now that seems a nice team to do a career!
I was going to be Argos, stage wins would be no problem, but surely to survive WT it will be impossible, no? They don't have anyone who can get points for GC. I suppose Degenkolb and Gescke can win Eneco and TDU etc. |

Not impossible. But hard, yeah. A lot of stage-wins will give you a lot of points though. Just send your strong sprinters to Beijing, Pologne & Eneco as well

I admire some of your careers or challenges here.
I got the game two days before actual release, and I am still yet to finish one proper stage :L
Might try a career after Expansion Pack though.

How do you mean it? Too many bugs, not enough time to play...? |

Overall, I think the game improves upon last year.
But I don't have the willpower to wait at the long loading times, and play stages while I 1) have better and usually more fun games available 2) it's summer so it's party time every day basically
But hopefully after Expansion Pack I will get around to play it more, would like to start a story as well, but we'll see

I don't know what the problem with loading times is. Mine takes like 30 seconds...

Loading times is ridiculous I agree the whole game takes ages if you skip a month it takes too long aswell, but I love the game. I just won MSR with Henao what is the second to last climb called I attacked their. Sagan gets second for 2 years in a row lol. Cav is at Movistar, EBH and D.Martin at Astana with Nibali. Is it me or is their not as many riders who don't get resigned, only Peraud is the rider of note who is a free. |

Finished Etoile de Besseges GC 1st/2/6/10 with IAMmainly because of the climb in the last ITT. The last PCM I played was 2008 but it seems that the AI still hasn't learned to do uphill time trials. Made also some podiums in mass sprints with Brändle (SP67) by taking Chicci's (spelling?) wheel. Should prolly play higher than normal difficulty.
In form Denifl finished then 7th at Mediterranean. No chance against Contador/Voeckler etc. Lost about 5 min or so.
I'm basically in every break away there is but haven't managed to win yet. The AI doesn't seem to invest much energy when in a break away group, so I would always end up leading alone if I put my rider to 65% and relay.
Anyway it's so much fun to play PCM again! |

Does anyone know if the promotion system changed? Or is the worldtour going to be with 19 teams throughout PCM 13? |

Go for classics with Degenkolb. I did the same in PCM12. With his decent hill and cobble stats, he should be able to do well in Gent-Wevelgem, Vattenfall, Canada etc. That alone should secure enough points.

Right, finished my season with my Asian team.
Wasn't able to ride the World Championships with Kazachstan, which is a shame. (see PCM 2013 thread).
Some late season highlights were:
- 5th Quinhai Lake(Sayar)
- 2nd GC Tour Alsace(Sayar) + Stagewin(Arashiro)
- 3rd Tour des Pyrenéés(Sayar)
Aaaannd...
- GC win Tour of Portugal!(Sayar)
Will post my team for 2014 later on...

Had the most beautiful win ever, you had to be there but I'll try to describe it:
with a medium neopro sprinter (75 SP, 76 ACC, 62 HILL) with OPQS, a stage classified as flat, but quite some hills. (Stage 3 in Dunkerque)
Situation on the top of the final hill: 10k left to go: BOTD still 1 minute in front. Démare and 2 of his team mates split on the hill and are 40 seconds ahead.
Neopro sprinter takes the wheel of the last remaining team mate (Tony Martin-type) and he starts giving 100%. At 2km from the finish, we reached Démare, who was completely empty and couldn't even start the sprint. My custom rider starts to sprint, the BOTD scarily close to the finish.
My sprinter moves through breakaway riders, from left to right. The first one is already raising his arms. I beat him on the line, couldn't have been more than a millimeter, but a win nonetheless!
Neopro sprinter's first win after some 2nd places and also a top 5 in a WT race |

I lost a chance for a good result in Paris-Nice for Talansky on a flat stage. I kept him around 70th position in the peloton but it splitted just in front of him on final kilometers. Really furstrating...
At least I won mountain classification by Howes. I was putting him in a breakaway almost every single day, which was really hard because he always started the stage at the back of the peloton and it took ages for him to overtake other riders and be able to attack (this aspect is really bad in this game). It was actually quite funny because he was not strong enough to compete with other riders in breaks. After his 1st break he was just 1 point down to the leader in mountain classification. In his 2nd break there was nobody with many points in it but him. But he was dropped in the middle of the stage and at the end of the day he still didn't have enough points to lead the classification. During the last stage (not including final ITT) the situation was going to repeat but Aru, who just needed to win (or even top3 would have been enough for him) the final mountain sprint, attacked, but stopped around 0,5kms before the line and allowed other riders from a break to finish in front of him on this sprint and therefore Howes won the classification!
Tirreno was won by Dupont after a break which was allowed to gain 15 or so minutes. Second last stage was very funny. I put Dan Martin in the break (13th in GC before this stage, 9th after) and AG2R was setting the high pace all the time. I don't know why because there was not any rider who was a threat for them in the break (Martin was already more than 10 minutes down in GC). The peleton was splitting all the time, sometimes with just 4 AG2R guys in front and the rest chasing them. Then GC contenders attacked and joined the break eventually and Dan was dropped on a flat 4 kms to go.
I think I had a bug earlier, because on a stage 5 there was a break with Martin and Cancellara. Cancellara won the 2 category mountain sprint and was 2nd on HC category mountain sprint. Dan was 2nd on 2 category and won the HC, yet Cancellara gathered more points. |

Year three of Garneau in PCT division got wildcards to all the classics except Amstil and Ghent
Got 1st in Tour of Qatar with 3 wins and 2nd in Oman with 3 wins plus KOM.
2nd in Strande Bianche and KOM in Paris-Nice. Got 6th in MSR and 2nd in Crit. Int with 2 wins. Took 1st in G3 with Gaudin. He also got 7th in Tour of Flanders. After G3 Gaudin took the GC win in De Panne Tour and we took the 2 bunch sprints.
Rohenso has 9 victories. Gaudin has our two biggest wins. Murysev took Stage 5 in Oman as welll as the KOM in Oman, Paris-Nice and Crit. Int.
Fredrick Layboit rounds out our win count with Stage 1 in Crit. Michael Kwiatkowski has gotten second in 4 races this year. Hopefully he can get a good result in the Ardennes.

Weirdest Tour ever in my career with OPQS.
Injuries, so couldn't start: Schleck, Contador, Quintana, Evans, Froome and believe me, many more
So no real contenders there, which made for the weirdest classification in Paris:
1. Costa
2. Porte
3. Van Garderen
my best rider (this is weird): 6. Tony Martin
