Sure BMC can pay Sagan, but dont forget about Phinney an van Garderen . Their will will raise . So if Evans leaves or retires , they ve to put the money on those two.
And if sagan replaces Gilbert, i think that this wont be enough for to secure the WT points. they need more quality |

Yeah because Gilbert is just a WT-points machine! Sagan, on the other hand, has to scrape together those points to even get noticed.

Don't forget that Hushovd is likely to be close to retirement too, or at least a pay cut. Ballan perhaps too. And Sagan is pretty much enough to guarantee a WT license... and if not then BMC has plenty of quality.
Also remember that BMC have essentially unlimited money.

Van Garderen and Phinney already earn over a million. They better win a GT/monument before asking for a raise

Slagter would be a good fit at Greenedge. As for Renshaw I just don't know, if Cav wants him surely QPRS would do as Cav wants, i'm sure Goss would love to have someone like Renshaw leading him out.

Yes.
The two things GreenEdge miss most is a classic punchy rider and a leadout man.

I don't think they should sign Renshaw, I was assuming that there would be a few riders leaving which is why I see Slagter as a good fit. I think just like everybody else that they should sign some Stage racers and climbers but I wonder if they will have the budget to get anybody of quality.

Slagter is young and talented + has lots of points so he won't come cheap I suppose.
The points might actually be the main reason they want him

Why would he be offered a new contract? He has done nothing at all for the last couple of seasons. The only thing I can think of is that they want him to lead out Farrar but even then why bother?
