Lets hope our riders have a Great time in Qatar

Ian Butler
Yeey Alex DeLarge is getting into business. Let's hope he can mean something for the Spiders!

Jesleyh
Meh, struggling in Qatar as topic title doesn't sound too promising Wink
And that Boonen & Hagen are more a favourite than me, isn't really great too... Shock
Hope I can do something despite my form Grin

Tour of Qatar Stage 1,2,3

Stage 1

i1249.photobucket.com/albums/hh505/matinho97/q1p.jpg

A flat one, but is that a surprise? Smile

This stage turned out to be a usual flat stage, the break got caught early, and the peloton preparated for the sprint, Sky took the lead for EBH, forming a quite good train for him. Despite the good leadout, he wasn't able to grab the win...

i1249.photobucket.com/albums/hh505/matinho97/q1.jpg

... because Boonen takes it! He is really looking ready for the early cobbles, slightly frightening I must say... Hunter takes the 2nd, while Kristoff is the 3rd.

Stage 2

A short TTT, we will try to get some decent results here. Btw. it's flat of course.

After all I think we were decent in this stage, only got beaten by Rabobank, so quite good. Wink

Stage 3

Could've just copied the profile of the 1st, they're basically the same.

Well, I could write plenty of things about this stage, but there was just simply nothing to report. First off, there were no breakaway, Sky and Omega Pharma controlled the peloton really easily. Second, as the peloton turned up the pace even more in the last 10 kilometers, the Spiders energy drained impossibly quickly. Our riders could barely keep contact with the 70-men remaining peloton. Angry

However, Tom Boonen was certainly not having the problems as our Spiders, as he sprinted to victory for the 2nd time here! This time beating EBH and Keueleire, it seems like that he is ready for the cobbles. Mike said that he is suspicous, but they're fierce rivals, so he might be over-reacting.

Hmm... Wesley could've been better Wink
Did one of us lose time on stage 3 or did we manage to get the same time as the peloton?

Not a good start in this Tour for the Spiders. Wesley has reached a nice Top Ten at least.

Jesleyh
Well, the Top 10 wasn't really what he was aiming for Wink
The lack of form is the reason I guess...
