Daggen: Thanks mate
Jesleyh: Yeah, he's pretty good at finishing just outside the top 10, that's too bad actually
Let's hope he moves up year after year, until he finished 1st at the rate he's finishing 11th now
rogvi97: Thanks, he did what he can |

Giro del Trentino :: Stage 4
Ooh, awoke with the most terrible headache this morning. Luckily it is the final stage, I can have some rest tomorrow!
Nothing I haven't seen before. Italian climbs. This one is long and slow, so I don't expect attacks until the last 10km.
But yesterday's efforts took its toll. I wasn't up to this...
My legs were burning up way too fast, way too soon. All I could do was minimize my losses!
I had to let a rather large group go, which was another slap in the face.
In the last two kilometer, I found a second breath. Well, at least a second puff of air. Whatever you want to call it, it was just enough to get out of the defeated group and get myself together to limit my losses.
In the end, it didn't do much. The verdict: 4 minutes and more behind stage winner Basso.

PCM rulezz: Thanks, let's hope so!
Stromeon: Depends on your definition on "great", thanks, though
Just a little heads up, Mondag and Tuesday and possibly Wednesday as well, will be busy, busy, busy. I'll have lots of work to do, and I might even be busy tomorrow, preparing. So playing PCM will probably be difficult, so more of this later |

Lotto's Willy Wouters suspected of doping
Willy Wouters, neopro at the Lotto Belisol team, has been officially suspended by the UCI. The young Belgian failed on three attempts to present his whereabouts. Wouters, who recently won the final stage in the International Cycling Week, will be suspended from competition indefinitely.
"The whereabouts are necessary in the fight against doping, one that fails to answer where he's been, is definitely a suspicious character", says UCI official John McGregor. But there are also those rising up to Wouter's defense. André Greipel, a renown rider, commented that the whereabouts system is complicated and young riders are not properly explained how the whole system works. The Belgian Anti-Doping Bond reassured Lotto Belisol that Wouters is not suspected of doping, but that his suspension is of a precautionary nature.
Wouters, who is currently in Italy to prepare for the Giro, has given a press conference, directly after the official announcement of the UCI. "I don't understand how this could've happened. I haven't used any forbidden products and have never tested positive. Yet they treat me like a common criminal. This is insane." Wouter's lawyer, Fred Pieters, stated that there must have happened a mistake in communication. According to Pieters, the whereabouts were always properly filled in and filed. "We will not take this, my client has done nothing wrong and should not be punished. This is a matter of innocent until proven guilty."
The Giro d'Italia starts in a week, and Wouters expressed his feelings on entering: "The Giro starts in a week and I cannot miss it. I've worked so hard already, and this is such an important moment in my career. I haven't done anything wrong, and I expect the UCI to figure that out and let me start in the Giro. There is no other way."
Lotto Belisol unexpectedly takes distance from rider Wouters and states that it can't know what all their riders do all the time. However, many riders from the team have expressed their sympathies for the young rider on Twitter. Many of them swear his innocence and offer him support. The UCI has remained silent after the official announcement, but clarification on the matter is expected soon.
Hey...
Things here in Italy are a bit hectic. I've arrived a couple days ago and we where totally in the dark, until we got a phone call from Jurgen (Roelandts). Willy is really down, I encouraged him to the press conference, but I don't know if it did any good. Our team mates here have been really supportive so far, but the team management has been acting real outrageous. Willy has already gotten the news they won't prolong his contract into 2013. Totally unfair! Have to go now, but we'll keep you in the loop! One thing's for sure, if Willy leaves, so do I.

Poor Willy. I'm sure he didn't do anything wrong. Hope the UCI lets him enter the Giro... Wonder where they will ride next season if Lotto won't extend Willy's contract...
