Ridiculous...
That more or less all Lampre riders are involved in investigations, that Saxobank are managed by Bjarne Riis and that Vino is in charge of Astana clearly doesn't bother them. If they're going to start punishing suspicious teams, they could at least punish all of them - not just the one.

Don't think there would be a lot of teams left then.

RusVelo and Andalucia miss out on Pro Continental licences, whereas Bretagne-Seché, Bardiani-CSF (ex Colnago) and Champion System keep their Pro Continental licences. |

Worst thing about Katusha is that if they win their appeal and get back into WT, then another team will be kicked out of WT to make room.
Imagine the financial problems that could mean... |

Finally, Andalucia won't be forced in the Vuelta... |

https://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest/536141/no-tirreno-or-paris-nice-for-sky-s-classics-riders.html
"I'm not saying we've been unsuccessful, we've done OK," said coach Rod Ellingworth, "we've won Kuurne twice and Nieuwsblad but not a main one, so the idea came out of a review where we were looking at everything."
Ellingworth added that the team was "taking out Tirreno-Adriatico - and we'll have a training camp instead. None of the Sky Spring Classics riders will do Paris-Nice or Tirreno."
It's new and might work. I am not sure about Thomas's chances this spring though, however the dark horse and the year his big breakthrough is very possible is this man, looking already beastly :

Omertàis alive and well
I'm just very lucky, very fortunate that the teams I was involved in that it [doping] was never an option. It was never on the table. I think that has a lot to do with the people around you and the team bosses - they had a very different mentality to some others.
- O'Grady
On a scale of 1 to 10 how stupid does this idiot think we are?
AIS with the proven doping of youngsters. Cofidis with the team-wide doping scandal and arrests. CSC with riders testifying Riis institutionalized doping, others being caught in doping investigations, others testing positive. Now GreenEdge with Shayne F***ing Bannan from the very same AIS.....different mentality? Doping not an option?
This guy must have an incredibly low opinion of fans' intelligence.
As Aquarius says, cyclists of older generations tend to have very low intelligence and just generally be incredibly thick. Seems to be O'Grady's case.
O'Grady is adamant that despite the stigma, he saw no evidence of a doping culture
Nope, no evidence. He's blind, you see. And deaf. And dumb. Very very dumb. Dumb as a rock.
I was never a mountain climber and I just thought that losing half an hour a day was stock-standard. I was more of a sprinter so I did more sprint training. I never did mountain training. To be getting my arse kicked every Tour I just figured that was kind of normal. Obviously things weren't normal...
Oh really Stuart? I seem to remember on the day Floyd won by six minutes you being outraged that you couldn't hang onto his wheel for more than a few minutes up a mountain because, and this is a quote "I'm not a bad bike rider".
I also remember you pulling the peloton up the Croix-de-Fer shedding riders out the back on the queen stage of the Tour in 2008. In fact, screw that, I remember you pulling at the front on the final climb of the Tourmalet stage of 2010.
This guy is so full of shit.

Sky doing their magic training camps as the preparation instead of competitive riding, oh my, i smell all the classics won by someone who was riding at the back whole career.

Looks like Rodriguez is staying with Katusha
https://www.sporza...ce=dlvr.it
I can't understand this language, however @TourDeJose paraphrased a sentence or two; "I gave my word to Katusha and will keep it." |

Yup, he signed a new contract with Katusha. Says he stays loyal to them (they probably offered him more money), even though he's not sure they'll ride WT level.
Silly decision if you ask me, he's had his best year so far and now he might risk riding the races he'd like. |

I think Katusha'll be invited for almost every WT-race, so it doesn't make that much difference. Purito will still be able to pick the races he want. |

Well, they weren`t invited to the Tour Down Under.
I think they won`t have problems to join Catalunya, Vuelta, Pais Vasco and probably Giro/Ardennes. But other than that I wouldn`t be too sure. |
