the_hoyle: Thanks! Glad you liked reading it
Daggen: Yeah, I wanted to leave 2012, get the legend starting on the classics Thanks, Lombardia was a nice race to ride!
ste_18: I hope I won't have to keep you waiting too long
FreitasPCM: I'm glad you like the schedule. It's hard to make one for a legend (especially with trying to race the WC with not more than 70 race days)
JuanMotr: I hope so, too. But I'm confident he will (let's hope everyone tires themselves out in the Tour)
Jakstar22: Thanks |

U mentioned that you have changed other people's stats as well. Will Roberto have more than one "unknown" competitor like that Dutch guy who came second in the WC? |

Probably, yeah
The first years it'll be Gilbert and Contador etc, but after a couple of years it's only realistic that new talent makes its way into the cycling world, so then I'll edit some youth riders every year, making sure he has competition. |

That is a good idea Ian. Young talents vs. a legend. Sounds about right

Paris - Nice preview 2013
No, I'm not worried. I was just getting warmed up, the season's only starting.
- Roberto Velásquez, early March 2013 -
Roberto hadn't started his season like his first debut year. The eve before Paris - Nice, his victory count was still on 0.
In Mallorca, Contador had taken his revenge for the past season.
1 | Alberto Contador | Team Saxo Bank | 13h23'26 | | 2 | Jonathan Hivert | Saur - Sojasun | + 43 | | 3 | Luis León Sánchez | Rabobank Cycling Team | + 1'13 | | 4 | Roberto Velásquez | Colombia Coldeportes | + 1'59 | IanButler | 5 | Robert Kiserlovski | Astana Pro Team | + 2'03
Roberto went home with the young jersey and no stage wins.
In Andalucia, it didn't go any better, and he didn't even get the young jersey.
In the final stage there was an epic battle. Contador would've easily won the tour, but many escaped, and Contador and Roberto fought out their own private battle.
1 | Luca Mazzanti | Farnese Vini Selle Italia | 14h39'37 | | 2 | Pascual Orengo | Burgos BH - Castilla y Leon | + 1 | | 3 | Robert Kiserlovski | Astana Pro Team | + 1'10 | | 4 | Constantino Zaballa | Katusha Team | + 1'12 | | 5 | Yury Trofimov | Katusha Team | + 1'14 | | 6 | Peter Velits | Mipfre - Euskadi | + 1'18 | | 7 | Alberto Contador | Team Saxo Bank | + 1'19 | | 8 | Rein Taaramae | Cofidis, Le Crédit en Ligne | + 1'22 | | 9 | Roberto Velásquez | Colombia Coldeportes | + 1'32 | IanButler | 10 | Pablo Lastras | Movistar Team | + 2'04
However, Roberto was not too worried about this:
No, I'm not worried. I was just getting warmed up, the season's only starting. Last year I was off to a flying start. I don't expect that too happen every year. I want as many victories as I had last year, sure. But I'll also take less, if they are more important. A stage win in Paris - Nice would mean as much as all the stage wins in the .1 races last year. We'll see. I think I built up my form just right, so I'll give it my everything in Paris - Nice. |

I'm sure when he'll get into shape, Roberto will kick ass. |

Slow start to the season, but Roberto is just biding his time time before he destroys the Paris-Nice!

He will smash Paris-Mice. Contadpr won't know what hit him although he will have a rough idea.

I'm actually a bit sceptical about him smashing Paris-Nice. I think he will warm up, get a stage win, maybe KOM and young jerseys |

Slow start, but the only important thing is to be ready for your goal |

FreitasPCM: Let's hope so
the_hoyle: That would be awesome but the competition will be greater than in the Vuelta, as he won't have the advantage of fitness anymore!
Jakstar22: Contador still is very, very strong. And now that he's out of suspension, I think he'll be the absolute favorite in all races he enters but Roberto will be the big challenger!
Daggen: That would already be a great result
ste_18: I agree, your signature shows this better than anything!

I think that he should be disappointed if he doesn't win a hilly sprint

Daggen: Depends on who he loses to. If he were to lose against Gilbert, I don't see how he could be too disappointed
JuanMotr: Thanks!
It'll be a while for the next update, though. Today and tomorrow are busy days at school, Wednesday the class may be cancelled so we'll see then |
