Following its success in early March, ProCycling magazine are again going to be running a Q&A session with Mark to feature in their Tour de France 2011 Programme. And just like last time, they are wanting some questions from the followers of his story. The main focus in the interview will be the Tour de France, but questions about anything are welcomed.
So if you have any questions, you can pm them to me, with the subject of 'Question for Cav', and they will be put to Mark to answer.

Cavendish to miss Dauphiné?
HTC's Mark Cavendish looks set to miss the upcoming Critérium du Dauphiné, after his team made a last minute replacement to the squad list for the Stage Race in France.
There is no talk from the HTC camp at the minute, and for once, Cavendish is being very tight lipped about the situation on Twitter.
With a Q&A session set up with Cav ahead of the Tour de France, it will be interesting to see if any further details are given then.

In the lead up to the Tour de France, starting on the 2nd July, ProCycling Magazine are delighted to get another exclusive interview with Mark Cavendish. He will discuss his hopes for the upcoming Grand Tour, as well as answering some questions from the followers of his story.
There have already been a number a questions sent in for Cav to answer, so I have decided to do in the interview in two parts.
*****
ProCycling: Mark, welcome back! Great to see you again, and thanks for speaking to us.
Mark: Well, it's again a pleasure. I heard there was some great feedback from my last interview, so I was more than happy to do it again.
PC: As you well know, it is the Tour de France in less than a month's time, but before we talk about that, it was revealed last week that you are missing the Critérium du Dauphiné...
MC: I knew that might be one of the first questions...
PC: Is it possible to shed some light on why you aren't riding the Stage Race?
MC: Sure. It will end some of the speculation in the press. I went back home to the Isle of Man after the Tour of California, just to relax and recover ahead of the Dauphiné. I went out for a small ride around the famous Manx TT course, just to loosen my legs, and I dropped the bike on a patch of diesel on the road. I went down hard, hurting my shoulder and wrist.
PC: And is everything ok? Nothing broken?
MC: No, I've not broken anything, apart from my pride. My wrist is just a little uncomfortable when on the bike, and a decision was made not to go to the Dauphiné.
PC: One of your followers, Francopell wanted to know if you are going to be riding the Tour de Suisse instead, in order to fully prepare for the Tour de France?
MC: It's a touch and go situation. Nothing has been said yet, and it will all depend on what the team doctors say.
PC: Should you miss the Tour de Suisse, do you think you will be properly prepared for the Tour de France? Francopell would also like to know if you will struggle for form?
MC: If I can't go to Switzerland, of course I will be at a slight disadvantage. You just can't recreate the type of form you get from racing in training.
PC: Before you head to le Tour, you have the National Championship in Stamfordham. Another one of your followers, rogvi97, would like to know if you are targeting this race?
MC: I think to be British National Champion would be a great honour. Spending 12 months in the British Stripes, showing them off in the Pro Peleton on the big stage would be a great thing to see.
PC: So you think you can win it?
MC: It's going to be tough... Team Sky will want to defend their title they won 12 months ago, and there are some great British domestic riders that will make it a hard race. I will be on my own, no HTC guys to look after me, or lead me out, so I will have to keep my wits about me, and ride like I used to when I was growing up and learning my trade in the cycling world.
*****
That concludes the first part of the Q&A session. If any of the followers have any questions they want to ask Cav, then feel free to PM me. Thanks to those who have already sent questions. They will get answered in the second part

After part one of the interview was posted yesterday, it is time to bring you part two.
*****
ProCycling: So looking ahead to the Tour de France next month, rogvi97 would like to know what are your main objectives?
Mark: Well the major objective has to be the Green Points Jersey. Some great sprinters have won it over the years, and I want to be part of that list.
PC: With that in mind, Francopell wants to know that after a few near misses in the fight for the Green Jersey, do you think you can win it this year?
MC: Well I have identified 6 stage that are must wins, and then another 2 or 3 that could be added bonuses. It's a hard Tour this year, but (Christian) Prudhomme has introduced the 'Super Intermediate Sprints' that really work in my favour.
PC: IanButler would like to know who you think are your biggest rivals for Green? Sagan, Griepel or someone else?
MC: There are going to be a lot of guys who could win Green. Obviously Griepel is going to be very motivated as it is his first Tour, and he is very quick when he is fully flow. Sagan...? I think that will be touch and go. He was in California, and was very disappointing in the sprints. He was far more active in the Mountains. The dark horse I think could be someone like Boasson Hagen. If he can get his sprint right then he will be hard to beat. Sky got it spot on in California with the lead out, but he just didn't have the legs to finish it all off.
PC: The final question again comes from Francopell. With this year's Tour featuring the Plateau de Beille, two climbs of the Galiber, Luz Ardiden and Alpe d'Huez, are you worried of getting dropped on the big climbs in the Tour, ultimately missing the time limit?
MC: I'm not going to lie, it is a big worry. I don't want to put all the effort into getting Green if I am just going to lose it by not finishing within the time limit of the stages. Although, if it can recreate some of the climbing form I showed at Paris - Nice and also in the Tour of California, I think I will be fine. Only time will tell.
PC: Well that seems to be all, many thanks again Mark for seeing us, and I hope can do it again soon.
MC: It's been a pleasure. We should do it again soon.

30th June 2011 - British National Road Race Championships
For the 2011 National Road Race Championships, we head to Stamfordham, near Newcastle, in the North East of England, taking in the route used in the Beaumont Trophy and Curfew Cup.
I will be on my own during the race, seeing that I am the only British guy on the team, so I am relying on the others teams to work at pulling back any breaks, and I will look to steal the lead outs of other teams.
Team Sky will be the team to watch!
