If I have understood things correct, the Armstrong appeal is dismissed

Yes, Armstrong's case against USADA. That's very old news, you might want to know that the Roman Empire collapsed as well.

Well, it turns out that johnnyjur was right after all, I was away the last week, so I missed that Armstrong had filed a new lawsuit against USADA last monday, and that's the one that's been dismissed today. Mr. Armstrong is in deep shit now:
Armstrong now has until August 23 to either accept a lifetime ban and the loss of all results during the period of USADA's claims, which encompass most of his professional career including his Tour de France victories, or take the case to arbitration where all witness testimony and other evidence will be aired publicly
https://www.cyclin...trong-suit
Apologies to johnnyjur then, I guess I have to get up to date after holidays before I can correct people.

I am hoping he takes it to the court... not just give up and accept the ban.

its give up and accept the ban, or have everything you've done wrong in an open court for the whole world to see, and then get a ban. He's lucky not to be threatened prison |

I just don't know... Everything he did wrong might not be so much if he keeps thinking and claiming he never failed a test, I say let him keep the Tour Wins

Easy there fellas
Basically he can either not appeal and keep a lot of his reputation intact because he'll continue to claim it's a witchhunt and there's no evidence, etc etc. And mostly because unknowledgeable fans will believe him
The question is if his ego will let him do that or if he'll actually go to court where all the evidence will be made public and he'll be ripped to shreds.

The argument doesn't stand : Festina must have had two or three positive tests (Ch. Moreau for steroids is the only one I can remember) in their whole history, yet the whole team (but Armstrong's mate Bassons) was stuffed up to the eye balls with any sort of drugs and doping products you could think of in the late 90's. |

Great. Doper promoted to 1st, to 2nd, to 3rd, to 4th, to 5th, etc.
What's the pint. He doped and beat other dopers.
