Wow Gesink almost crashed there. Too bad Atapuma couldn't win, but I'm happy for Gesink, great win for him. Amazing ride by Dombrowski too.

Dombrowski is going to be a superstar in the next few years. Already riding away from Danielson and Van Garderen, watch out for him.

A 2.HC-race isn't supposed to be a million times more exiting than a Grand Tour.
PS: Gesink's gonna take this one.
It isn't
This is Cali's one stage, the next week will have 4 Giro stages which are better.
Compared to the last few Giro's, this years Giro has been pretty dull. The upcoming week looks good on paper, but the first two weeks were just unbelievable boring. I couldn't even find the motivation to watch half of them. Actually fell asleep during todays final climb.
Cali being better then the Giro is an overstatement though .

Gesink is back! And how!
He really needed this win!
Now lets hope nothing strange happens tomorrow and the victory is his!
I can finally be proud of being Dutch again

Giro needs more nudity, I think that's the problem.

Actually the Dutch G is only heard in languages like Dutch and German, but it mostly sounds like a Spanish J (like in Rujano).

If you pronounce both correctly, they sound exactly the same.

That's pretty accurate actually. The Spanish J is exactly as the Dutch G |

The actual surprise for me is Luke Durbridge. I thought he had climbing skills similar to Cav, but he was faster than Velits.

Wow, just saw Velits big fail on the climb.
Great that Gesink won, should give him nice boost of confidence before the Tour. Good performance from Colombia - Coldeportes too and some of the young stars.

Big fail? That was a training ride for Velits, just like it was for Nibbles...

Yea, agreed. It's just after Avin hyped him a little after his 3rd yesterday I thought he would do better today
Same can be said about Gesink and his Tour though as well. Hopefully he didn't peak too early.

Rabobank is one of ToC's sponsors, hence they usually trying to do well here. Plus Gesink is hungry of wins after his injury and struggling during the first part of the season.

Yeah, i expected him to do better, probably he is truly training only, still not a nice look to see him struggle
But i am happy for Gesink, hopefully he will not hurry his preparation for Tour much. You know, win Dauphine and than suck in July.
And Sagan tonight?
Actually Haussler would deserve the win too,but it will be hard for him.

That's hardly possible considering he isn't even at his best now. He won because the competition wasn't that great. With all the respect for Danielson and co.. Gesink said himself he isn't back 100% yet. He attacked hard but "struggled with the last kilometers" later. So there is room for improvement

Really hope he will be at his best in the Tour. He'd be on the podium for sure I think. Plus, he'd really deserve it after all his bad luck.
