I agree with what you are saying, but don't forget he was all alone. I couldn't see that he had any help.
All his teammates were at the back from helping Phinney. but still, he does really need a hard uphill sprint to contest.
Well, as he said last year, he had been training with Gilbert and become much more of a hill rider then a pure sprinter. He might have a good chance on the stages that are relatively flat, but still so hilly that riders like Cav and Farrar can't keep up.

It feels great to have Phinney with pink jersey. |

Where did Geraint Thomas end up? Did he mix up in the top 10 because of the crash?

I highly doubt it, and anyway why? If you really want to know, just wait for the full results to come out.

Don't worry he will take something again..I was he's biggest critics few years in row. Then last year tour he did it again..won stage ..was climbing with climbers..was fighting like hell. Great rider

Did anyone see what happened to Guardini?
From good position with a couple of kilometers to go, to outside the Top 100. I was wondering if he got caught in the Bos crash as well.

Easy boy. It was a question. If you get offended then don't answer.
I was wondering because of the sprinters jersey.

What a race, Cav once again proves he is the fastest. Farrar still looks lost in a sprint (I wonder if he has some mental issues from his crashes in sprints?). Heck of a job by BMC and Phinney to catch back up to the field and not lose the pink jersey. And poor Gossy, 5th 2nd in a row, got to be tired of seeing someone else getting stage wins.

Full results are up on the Gazzetta website now.
Quite sure that Guardini was involved in the crash, since he is listed below guys who lost time from being dropped, while he is on s.t.

That crash was scary. Hope Kristoff is able to continue after that, Bos needs to learn to ride a bike on the road. Cavendish did what was expected afterwards. |

My bias towards Sky notwithstanding...after the rear end of the Sky train got swamped outside 2km was impressed with Thomas finding a way through for Cavendish as well as one of the Sky riders (not sure who?) finding his way back in front of those two before the leadout.
Glad Phinney got back on too. |

Guardini after the finish line, so no doubt he crashed as well:

Kristoff is apperantly okey, no broken bones and he's continuing the Giro.

If thats the competition then Cavendish will win every sprint he contests in this giro.
He's not even fully fit and he made Goss, possibly the second best sprinter in the world, look very average. |
