I've had next to no depth or small race scoring, but a few big performances have kept me in this. Now I just need Senechal to somehow win Roubaix.

Seems a certain someone missed a certain American
Same story for Teuns, he was there and then a puncture. Same story for De Plus, more moints lost there. Alaphilippe crashing again doesn't help either, let's hope he's ok. Gilbert was just a mistake. On top of that Hofstetter couldn't start yesterday because of a freaky disk brake injury. All in on Roubaix then!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

At 19, I had no idea he would finish in a scoring position anywhere all year. But cycling is a young man's sport now.

Both races this week did not have a winner from our fantasy teams, in fact Paris - Camenbert was the lowest scoring race by far. The Hornets keep climbing to second, and the gap with the Pacifiers is going down fast, as they haven't scored anything yet this round.

It's more of a "keep the game exciting by giving everyone hope that gap can still be closed"-thing

Ridiculous they relegated Wellens to 9th
That way the two of my riders that made the final selection of 6 finished 5th and 9th
I guess still decent scoring with Vansevenant in 14th as well |

I've done pretty well at getting a top finisher in the big races here. However, my depth will keep me out of the top spots.

Also, apparently nobody (including me) spotted that I mysteriously added Michael Valgren to my team last round despite the fact that he's on the Hussars. Must have gotten this and my Velogames team confused.

Block 7 results
The Pacifiers went all in on Wout van Aert riding Roubaix, and boy, did they need him! His second place in Roubaix is the only scoring for them in this round, and when we look at the rankings later on, you'll see how important those 200 points were.
The Bomber's win in Roubaix sets them on a second place on the rankings, while another block of solid scoring from the Hornets sets them safely on third place. The Paladins and the Bald Beagles had a bad block with a bad Roubaix and need to let the podium go. The gap with the Hornets is really big and it will be really hard to catch up.
The Hussars can't take advantage as they also scored very low and need to worry about the teams behind them. The Bananas use a good Roubaix to jump to 7th. The Roughnecks once again suffer from selection problems, this time they missed Adrien Petit in Roubaix.
At the bottom Mathieu could not give the Lemmings another big win in this block. Still it increased the gap to the Fainthearts, who need a really good last block to avoid finishing last.

Thank you for testing the safety of my rankings, I can proudly say all Valgren points went to the Hussars

As expected gap is rapidly shrinking. Hope Tadej and Aleksandr (and Wout if he has the freedom) are in good shape for the two Wallonian classics, and as there is barely any name on the Eschborn startlist yet I'm also hoping for my sprinters to go there.

24/04/2022 Klasika Primavera CT2
1/05/2022 Eschborn - Frankfurt WT2
Two Ardennes classics and a German race, I'm proud of this title. The last monument of the game, and two more WT races for the final point scoring. I decided to look a bit more at the teams as everything will be decided here.
The Pacifiers have to defend a small gapin the Ardennes, but with Pogacar that should be enough. In case something goes wrong like last year, there's still van Aert as back up as well as some outsiders like Vlasov and Higuita. The title is theirs to lose at this point.
Their only remaining rivals are the Bombers and the Hornets. Kwiatkowski, Bardet and Carapaz are some interesting names, but will it be enough? Cosnefroy has shown great stuff already, but he's basicaly alone in the Hornets Ardennes team.
The Paladins have been gapped and need a great Alaphilippe performance to make something out of their season. But they really have to watch out for the Bald Beagles behind them, Valverde, Wellens and Pidcock will probably outscore the World Champion.
Three teams will be fighting for 6th place. Matthews and Mohoric will once again have to save the Hussars and Bananas respectively, while it's all about Remco for the Roughnecks.
For the last two places it's two teams who have great Ardennes squad, but the Lemmings might have a startlist problem. Hirschi, Woods and Barguil could save the Fainthearts from the last place.
Startlists are not that good, especially the Klasika but also Frankfurt. Still, I will be needing your 8 riders by wednesday noon normal europe time.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Really disappointing classics season for the Fainthearts. Pedersen, despite being by far the best scorer, was below my expectations - that stupid P-R crash definitely didn't help. He apparently won't participate in the remaining races, so that's definitely a sub-par 1st-rounder.
Woods had some health issues - like many of my riders - and when more or less in form preferred to ride stage races. If he wins L-B-L, I'm fine with that. But he's more likely to go down as a major disappointment.
Definitely by far not as bad as Bettiol, though. I had really high hopes for him, but he just sucked everywhere. Zero points so far as well.
And I guess we don't even need to talk about Vanmarcke - I guess he's the rider with the most last-minute removals from startlists... And when he participated, he was far from competitive. A shame for a rider with his potential...
I don't know if I took too many risks, or if that's just quite a lot of bad luck, but this game really didn't work out for me this time.
Let's still nominate some riders for the final block - try to save what's possible to be saved...
Fainthearts, Final Block
Michael Woods
Marc Hirschi
Alberto Bettiol
Tobias Halland Johannessen
Warren Barguil
Jonas Vingegaard
Lorenzo Rota
Samuele Battistella
Nobody in Frankfurt, and I guess Klasika has been cancelled? All-in for the Ardennes then...
