Quick question: I reinstalled the db on a clean PCM and installed V1, V1.1, V1.2, variant pack and post-vuelta cdb. That's everything that has been released so far, right? Just to make sure I'm not missing anything. =)
Yeah, even if you didn't need to install v1.1 because it was included in the V1.2

Looking through the stage races in the game, I've noticed that the Dubai Tour isn't included any reason for this?
Also why can't Kwiatkowski be edited, I know it's something to do with the way his name is spelt, what's the solution?

Because of the missinhlg 2014 route. What do you mean with the second question?

If you use a normal editor like Lachis/Excel/Full then you can edit Michal without issues, 100000% guaranteed.

@Matt
As you know there are always a couple of riders that you can't edit such as Horner or riders that have names that start with de or van like de Marchi or van der Sande, but if you change the d to D or the v to V then it works. Was looking for a quick fix for Kwiatkowski so I can have him as WC.
@Manx Thanks will try this as an option. |

If you're aiming to the Official DB Editor, I don't know, because I just never used it As TMM said, try downloading a decent editor such as the Fast Editor or the Lachi's Editor
@arczi, don't spam 3 threads, you won't get a reply faster. You may try installing the latest patch (1.3.1.0) if you didn't yet.

hi guys,
It's probably a question that has been asked a thousand times and I know that it appears in the FAQ thread but when I installed the database and the patch, I had the purple square replacing some team and sponsors jersey.
I downloaded the game through steam so followed the instructions to save the database in the relevant folder (I manually changed the destination folder), but I still have the same problem.
A while back, I downloaded a real name database which had to be saved in My Docs/PCM2014/Mod/Database.
It's probably a stupid question, but should the Expansion Pack also be saved in the above folder?
If not, what am I doing wrong as I followed the instruction to save the database in the correct folder.
Thanks for your help.

Not at all, you have to install the Expansion Pack in your game folder. If we casually have done some mistakes with the name of the path you'll most likely need to first find out which actually is the name of that steam's folder, then you'll only need to select the folder. If you find the expansion pack installed in another entirely new steam folder, just move and paste those files into the steam's folder where you installed the ep.
If you're wondering, you installed the realname db in the docs' folder because the .cdb file is placed right there

And is there a specific folder I need to install the EP within the game folder?
Can't I just copy the database in the folder where I installed the real name database? |

You can't just copy the database because you'd have the purple squares anyway
You'll have to install the EP in the folder where you installed the game

I tried both folders but I still get the purple square. Don't understand what I am doing wrong??
Can someone who has Steam maybe show me screenshots of what is saved in what folder, because I haven't saved the game in a different folder than what is advised during the database installation process?

Tell me if you find the game in one of this paths:
Program Files\steam\steamapps\common
or
Program Files\steam\steamapps\*Username* (unlikely)
Or just search PCM.exe (the game executable file) on start and when you find it, right click on it and "open file path". There you'll find your game's folder and you'll be able to install the Expansion Pack in the right folder

Instead of having it in the Program Files folder you mention, I have it in the Program Files (x86).
I searched the pcm.exe file and found it in Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager 2014.
In that folder i have a PCMdaily DB Backup folder with the .cdb files for the career and stages. I have the v1.2 version of the EP but still have the purple square. |

But did you install the EP in that folder or in another one? I would uninstall pcm with a program like Revo Uninstaller (free) and re-install it in that folder

Yeah I did install it in that folder, except if I'm doing something wrong, but I don't think I am (well i obviously am but can't see what).
I re-installed PCM yesterday so don't think it 's a problem with that. |

Well, I don't know what to say, so make sure that you followed correctly these steps:
1-Start the game first, in order to create the PCM 14 docs folder;
2-Install the Expansion Pack V1 in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\Steamapps\common\Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014 or so;
3-Install the Expansion Pack V1.2 Fix in the same folder as above;
Maybe i found the problem, probably you didn't start PCM first

I'll try and re-install the EP instead of the game. Hopefully that'll work. |

You probably started PCM before installing the EP
