I just started a custom career selecting only French riders and found a promising youngster in the Young Rider section. He's a TT specialist and has a score of 71 in TT and one star progress potential. If he's trained properly, how much will he progress in TT in the long term?
He's also got a score of 69 in Mountain and 4 stars progress potential. Same as above, how much will he score potentially go up to?

1 Star roughly equals 1-2 points gain. So 71 with 1 star will improve to 72-73
4 Star roughly equals 4-8 points gain. So 69 with 4 star will improve to 73-77
Look Season 3 is going nicely thus far. Geniez has been outstanding with 11th in Paris-Nice, 9th in the Dauphine and capping it off with 7th place at Le Tour (as best Frenchman btw). He's also got a selection of wins in .HC, .1 and .2 races, currently sits 6th in the Conti Individual rankings. Herklotz has also been strong with several wins, and for a second year worse the Yellow Jersey for a couple of days. Bauhaus also bagged a handful of decent results, but very few wins. He has also decided to screw us and is leaving at the end of the season. Petit did step up a level with numerous good results, especially when given the chance on lower level cobbles. His TDF was rubbish, but did steal 2 podiums at Paris-Nice. Holst Enger continues to impress with a few wins and good results, and Ewan has found some form to start delivering. Latour probably takes my award as rider of the season, with some real good results in stage races. Most noteably was 19th at Le Tour, which was enough to earn him the Youth Jersey!!! Stake Laengen provides quality support to Geniez whenever asked, but also goes perfectly well himself pretty much in every race.
Currently we are right in the promotion fight. Europcar lead the way, and look set to promote at this point. MTN are currently in the other promotion spot just 300 points ahead of us in third. There are a few other teams also in range so it's gonna be a tense final couple of months (currently August).
So i made transfers with promotion in mind. Bauhaus is leaving, as is Laborie. Look are very happy as sponsors so we will get a budget increase. Big name signing was Van Kiersbulck with 77CB to take role as classics leader. Other than that we really struggled being rejected by Kelderman, Taarmae, Kangert, Dombrowski, Le Bon, Vichot, Pinot, Rolland, Turgot, Jerome, Bouhanni, Demare, Peraud, Delage, Paillot, Boom, Langeveld, Navardauskas, Kruopis, Keuliere, VdB, Stybar, Majka, Vandenbergh, Boswell, Reza, Grmay and at least 5 newgens who have grown into good riders... So i signed up 2nd, 3rd and 4th in the U23 rankings. A Czech with 71HL, 74TT and 70CB. A Dutchman with 71CB. A Frenchman with 71SP. All are decent additions.

So, my first real career in PCM 14 is with RTÉ Cycling Project, an all British Isles PCT team. Of course it's unbelievably OP for PCT, but fuck it. I did this because Admir said you couldn't make a decent Irish team, so here we are.
This is the squad:
Main goals for this season are:
- Getting Wildcards for the Giro and Tour
- Getting a stage win and Top 10 GC in each
- Winning one of the Ardennes Classics
- Winning the CT rankings
- Podiuming Worlds
Whilst the goals till 2018 are:
- Winning a GT
- Winning both worlds with an Irish rider (Mullen will develop in to a Top TTer)
- Winning a monument
- Winning the riders and teams CQ rankings
- Remaining all British Isles
I just need a bit of help with mountain stages. I created my custom team using only French riders and had Peraud as my leader on the Giro.
I started well and was leader a couple of mns ahead of Quintana as I was lucky that all the other leaders seemed to struggle over the first two weeks of the race so managed to create a bit of a gap.
But during the last week of the race, the leaders came back on form and as you know, on this game, everyone attacks at the bottom of the main climb instead of waiting for the last few kms. So basically, how do you deal with everyone attacking on the last climb? On the last two or three mountain stages, I had everyone attacking me from the bottom of the climb and obviously Peraud and my other mountain riders got knackered trying to keep up, losing all their energy while all the other riders seemed to not get tired.
I list the giro by 16 secs as a result because he could not keep up with the incessant attacks.
I wouldn't have any problems if they upped the pace but they were clearly attacking and quickly taking a lead of 20-30 secs.
Finished my Phonak career halfway through 2nd season and was really pleased with getting top 10's in the giro and vuelta. But it was too OP and in the end boring to play.
So will go into something that I've always wanted to try : I'm going to create a team based around Tony Martin, since I've always been fond of racing Time trials. Will post the team later
As my upcoming story with Bora is taking a while to be ready, I wanted a career where I could relax, but still learn something. And since sprinting isn't my strongest side I've created a Sprinter team. with some good chances on the cobbles and in the time trials.
I chose to have the team made around Tony Martin and the team will be called Celesio - Macquarie , and is a German, Australian and Scandinavian team with 4 nations presented.
Used my basic formula of putting a realistic team together, that is worthy of being called a WT team, even though 16 riders are under 25 xD The sprinters have good conditions and Kristoff will have good chances in the GT's , and plus that are our goals to get stage wins in the giro and the tour
Targeting a Top3 in all GT's, and a Top10 in all Stage Races. Looking to win a Monument with either Henao (80HL) or Thomas (80CB). Basically we're going to kick ass again...
So that's a mountain train of 83/81/80/79/79/78/77/77/77/76
So that's a hill train of 84/82/78/78/77/77/77
So that's a TT train of 83/81/79/78/77/76
So that's a cobble train of 80/77/76/74/72
We own the Top 2 Punchers in cycling, 5 of the Top10 all-rounder Stage Racers, Joint 3rd best Cobbler... The only thing we don't have is a top class sprinter... But when you Top10 every stage race you enter it's not a big deal

@Matt - Not really as i'm still yet to break any Rankngs PB's, and i've only won 2 GT's in 2 seasons (TDF 2014, Vuelta 2015)
@SSJ2 - And i have assembled that team for a total of 1.17mil, which is only 200,000 over budget so it's even financially viable
@Cossack - He crashed out of the TDF on Stage 7, whilst leading by 2'00. Only recovered in time for the ToB, so missed both his planned GT's. As a result Pinot had to fight back from 14th in the TDF so his 6th was still a good ride
So, I just finished my second season with my russian based Continental team and I will be riding in the World Tour next season...
Even on hard it is not that dificult to get enough points to promote.
Will be hard though to stay at this level.
