Senni wins the stage, while Ochoa's teammate Suaza takes the leader's jersey. For Senni it's another good result on home ground, after good results in GP Palio del Recioto (4th, won by Herklotz) and Trofeo PIVA Banca Populare (4th, won by Mühlberger).

Domination for Team Colpack here with 3 guys in the top 5. It's probably between them and Suaza now..
A lot of favourites losing time . Herklotz at 10 minutes! Bad form maybe? Anyone know what happened? |

I guess Herklotz isn't in great shape. He already lost around a minute in the prologue IIRC. |

Yeah I know, but despite being a U23 thread the question didn't seem to be all that interested in only U23 riders, but merely looking for the next spanish GT rider

472 Colombia has only 4 riders... they've worked really well for this race, let's hope Suaza can beat Senni and Elking tomorrow, he did it in the prologue already...
It's a shame that none of this riders are allowed to race in L'Avenir... that's just ridiculous... politicians and cycling federation guys really want to screw colombian cycling...
This team will aim for a ProConti license for next year... lets hope they get it... because Team Colombia's performance it's just poor...

Couldn't post this yesterday. The last stage, a short mountain TT, is won by the russian Arslanov in front of Svendsen and Suaza. Suaza wins the GC.

And we have another Colombian talent on our hands! Interested to see how he goes at Avenir.

I can see him fighting for Top 5. Maybe even podium, definitely not the win. Still he isn't the best Colombian talent right now, with Miguel Angel Lopez seemingly the most talented.
Depedning if Lopez rides, Avenir will be contested between Konrad, the guy with most experience from the U23 and Louis Verveake, the best climber so far this season in U23.

Never heard of him - what's he done so far?

Miguel Angel López is the current winner of colombian vuelta de la juventud (kind of l'avenir) he is in the pre-selection for l'avenir. He won a month ago that race.
None of 4-72 riders will ride in france because of some journalist and directives in colombian cycling that want the team to stop working just because they stand against doping and a lot of dark things in our cycling...

How does Nayer Quintana stand against those columbians you are mentioning? He seems extremely talented to me, but I guess its hard to compare pros to U23 riders? |

He is stronger indeed, but hére in Colombia is barely known... Maybe Sebastián Henao is a better option, he is really strong and last year was by far the best climber and tt rider in U23 category, some people even say he's a complete rider, moré that Nairo who's TT skills arent too good

Van der Poel wins the 3rd stage of the Tour Alsace. A race which usually features a lot of good u23's. Herklotz won it last year, and is participating this year also.
Stage 1 & 2 results

Poel looks very promising, judging by his CW. |

The Australian talent Robert Power wins the Italian U23 race GP di Poggiana. Some very good results from him already, despite it being only his first year in the u23 category.
