The master, Danny Pate, on the Giro

Very experienced team mate for Sky is good to have, with all the young blood they're sending.
AND Team Sky's Guide for the Giro, not a bad read.

Just like 99% of the folk here I see it as a Nibali Wiggins battle, only picking Nibali as I see him getting some time bonuses along the way. Think Hasjedal is in good form but can't see him winning and Scarponi is the only other I see challenging for a podium spot. Should be a cracking race
1. Nibali
2. Wiggins
3. Hesjedal
4. Scarponi
5. Henao
6. Sanchez
7. Pozzovivio
8. Intxausti
9. Santambrogio
10. Evans
EDIT: Danny Pate as the wildcard

I'm looking forward to 500000 interviews with Hesjedal and the constant metioning of his Norwegian heritage aswell as endless TV-reports from the place where his grandfather/mother(?) grew up.
He's got ancestors from Norway, we get it! So does most of the northern US and south of Canada too! Go interview them! Oh wait, they allready do.

Top 10:
1- Wiggins
2- Nibali
3- Hesjedal
4- Henao
5- Scarponi
6- Pozzovivo
7 - Intxausti
8 - Evans
9- Sanchez
10 - Santambrogio
Mountains: Pirazzi
Points: Bouhanni
Young Rider: Kelderman
Kiserlovski as biggest disappointment, as in GC. He might be able to snatch a stage, but i don't see him in the top15, 20 will be close.
As for surprising riders, I'm not expecting anything very shocking, but am counting on Pirazzi, Caruso and Aru to perform above expectations. Pick Pirazzi out of these, if you will. |

As for surprising riders: I think/hope Keukeleire will shine in his first Giro by helping Goss win a stage with a perfect lead-out! |

By the by, I can't be at home tomorrow for the start of the giro
I surely don't want to miss the first stage and presentation, anyone know if this will be view-able afterwards? Stage finish will be, but the presentation, too? |

I have no idea how Goss's form is tough. We'll see tomorrow if he can get close to Cav. |

He doesn't win it and that's the biggest disappointment in the Giro.

Like Démare last year, and whilst already finishing the last Vuelta, Bouhanni will only ride 7 to 10 days in this Giro. |
