Not exactly news but funny... amazing comedian David O'Doherty reads his fanfiction 'How Lance Armstrong Ruined My Life'. He explains how Armstrong was responsible for all bad things that occurred in his life for the period that he was doping.
He was in a crash, wasn't hurt at all and promptly announced that after the crash the peloton was too far away and it was "impossible" to get back to the front so he was quitting.
Gilbert was with him at that moment...

Oh right, I saw him in Gilbert's wheel. Couldn't he just hold that to return? Everyone else returned. He's a real Tour de France winner, that guy!
To be fair there were 8 riders in Gilberts group at this time and only 2 managed to stay on his wheel, but of course this shouldn't be Schlecks aspiration.
Stefan Schumacher crashed into the car during a Post Cup race in Denmark a few days ago.
And is still in the hospital in severe condition with head trauma and broken bones

According to him he rode 50 km/h and suddently the car appeared in front of him...
So stupid driving in this case as there were barriers to avoid it. So the driver must have ignored all of them.
It's pretty difficult to get the facts straight in this story as there's new accusations pretty much every day.
But from what I gather, the drivers didn't do anything wrong. They were told to park the car in the side of the road, which they did. Schumacher didn't see it before it was too late, so either it's his own fault or the organizer's.

It was driving towards the peloton. When it got near, police cars / officials pulled the car (and any other car in the area) over and asked the drivers to park which they did.
