Johny Piqué, I hate him He's a trainee with a conti Dutch team, he won the WC, so I had to race it again, that just couldn't happen. I only saw it later that now he came in second. (I edited his max stats so that he'll become quite a competitor for Roberto in the classics) |

Gran Premio di Lombardia 2012
I'll have my eye on that Velásquez next year!
- Alberto Contador -
Maybe the toughest of all monuments, specially because it's so late in the season. Everyone was tired and needed rest.
The race was quite boring for a long time, and a rather large group started at the final climb.
Then Contador, celebrated GT winner, went looking for his first ever one-day victory. He blasted away with quite a power!
It seemed as if he had it in the pocket. He was descending towards the finish. But something was coming, coming extremely fast...
Roberto Velásquez won his very first classic and first monument at the GP di Lombardia 2012. After a stunning season, he wrote another piece of history by becoming one of the youngest winners at this race ever. Contador saw another plan break into pieces by this young Colombian.

Roberto Velásquez
I'm almost as happy as when I won the Vuelta. This is amazing. I'm very glad I can confirm so early on. I'll train twice as hard this winter and I'll be happy if I can ever ride a season like this again!
We will have a season review of Roberto's debut year in the next chapter, and then it's on to 2013!

Thanks
I have tried out switching teams, but it doesn't seem to work. So I'll try to find another solution that he doesn't stay with the same team his entire career |

Great win by Roberto. He is a little pocket rocket going downhill. Contador never saw that coming.

I'm quite sure it's possible. It's just not enough to edit in DYN_Manager only, there's something more that should be edited, but can't remember what.
EDIT: You need to edit in DYN_Manager and in GAM_User. In GAM_User you should type your new team's ID in fkIDteam_duplicate. Hope it helps.

2012
It was the perfect ending of a perfect year!
- Roberto Velásquez -
Philippe Gilbert won the UCI Rankings in 2012. Roberto surprised the world by finishing 2nd, with 15 points more than Tom Boonen.
He only managed a 3th place in the Continental Rankings, and it would be the last time he was classified there.
In the CQ Ranking, he took the win of 2012 with a stunning 2924 Points.
The grandest price in Cycling of 2012 went to Gilbert. Roberto was one of the 10 nominees.
Team Colombia got a promotion and would battle in Pro Tour in 2013.
It was time for Roberto to make a nice schedule.
Spoiler Sorry for this real crappy 2012 review. I've been messing the the editor for hours now, and I just want to get out of 2012 and start 2013 now!

Roberto's Schedule 2013
I had a great winter, I'm ready for 2013.
- Roberto Velásquez January 2013 -
When Team Colombia presented the team to the world, they said the main leaders would be Roberto Velásquez and Mikel Nieve.
They presented both schedules and what I noticed at the time was that Roberto apparently didn't request to take part in Tour de France, nor the Giro d'Italia. Nieve would be the leader for Tour de France 2013, the 100th edition of the Tour.
The plan for 2013 was to ride a few races to get into shape, then on to Paris-Nice, to get used to riding in France. Then he'd tackle the Tour of Catalunya, defending his title, then it was on to Tour of Basque Country, followed by the three hilly Classics.
He would then take a small break until the National Championship. Then he would take another break and come back a few races before the GP San Sébastian. After that, he'd enter in the Vuelta à España. Afterwards he hoped to race the World Championship and of course, Lombardia.
Roberto Velásquez at the press conference early January:
I chose for a Spanish calendar. I enjoyed the Vuelta so much, and the climate is perfect for me. I hope to successfully defend my title in the Vuelta. I thought about entering the Giro, but I think 2 Grand Tours are a bit too much for me at this age. Maybe I'll do that next year, who knows. I want to perform well at the classics, and of course at the World Championship. (...) Why I chose not to ride the Tour? I understand it's a special edition, and it's the biggest cycling event of the year. But I feel I have a bigger chance at the Vuelta this year. I still have a lot to learn, and I don't want to enter a race if I'm not prepared. I hope you understand that, thank you." |

WOW! I miss a few days not reading the story, and you are in 2013, with a Vuelta win, WC top 10, Lombardia win, and now preparing for WorldTour racing!
Amazing work. Great read. Love every bit of it!
