It's the Liege region, the cities are not really known to be "pretty"

Enjoyed those last 20 kilometres, it was really manic.
It was weird the teams that did the pace Lotto and Greenedge didn't really profit from it. But I guess Greenedge are going to have to go for stage wins in that type of stage.
Sagan at one stage looked like he completely blew, but then had enough to stick on Cancellara at the crucial moment. Boassen Hagen did well to get across, I guess Evans was working for Gilbert when he was chasing.
A few guys dropped back there, looks like my fantasy Kessiakoff move was a dud. Oh well!

Coppel down on time already. This sort of climb doesn't really suit him, but that is still a real shame. I'd love to see him in the top 10, and not just because I have money on it!
I dont know where my post went but this is almost exactly what I said. I thought he had a real shot with all the tt kms.

Is there some statistic of the people winning in their first TdF road stage ever? I still cannot believe it

Btw, Lotto failed completely.
Vanendert finished as one of the last in the front group.

He's also the first one born in the '90s to win a Tour stage.

Van den Broeck 11th though - which is better than Greenedge managed (Gerrans 13th).
Chavanel and then Cancellara blew their finish plans I guess.

Oh, I know, I live near Charleroi, so it would probably be as ugly here. It's just that I've often been to Seraing and it does not look as ugly from the ground! |

It appears Tony's wrist is fine he was up there with the best riders. Good news .
Cannot believe how Albasini was chasing after Chava to end up losing time. |

Yeh.
Still, Vanendert said that this stage was one of his targets.

Sagan is born 3 days before me. I have just come to look at my own life and realise how pathetic I look in comparison.

Sagan is just fantastic. The biggest talent since Merckx.
