Great news, I was quite worried when I saw him down there with al the medics, immediately thinkin back of what happened less than a year ago.

Probably later on Sporza, www.sporza.be should be there under the name "opvallend" in a few hours.
Sorry if incorrect, it's only a guess because most of the crashes they put in there

Nice one for Gerrans. And I think Nibali cost Sagan a win. |

Impressive ride from Trentin. Certainly didn't think he'd be in the front group after the Poggio.
Such a shame he crashed.

Btw it wasn't a helicopter that caused Trentin's crash, seemed ridiculous and it wasn't true of course

I'll blame Roche
Though, I don't find it ridiculous that it could have been a helicopter, if being low enough, they just need to "flip" the rotors a bit, and suddenly the riders will face serious wind, from another direction than they've got used too.
But good to hear that it wasn't a bad mistake from the organizers/those responsible for the coverage.

Nibali fucked up Sagans race. He attacked and sit there only
If..if and if. Come on man.
Gerrans deserved or not? Ofcorse deserved..if he can go with Cancellara and Nibbles and continues he's nice form after Paris-Nice..deserved as hell.
Cancellara is still amazing beast..how he came out of the peloton to go after atacked duo. Amazing shit.. Boonen has hugh task to beat him at Roubaix and Vlaanders

Boeckmans fell just infront of Boonen in the descent of the Poggio which caused a gap in the chasing group
Pozzato sucks!

Even though I knew Gerrans had won I found myself cheering for Cancellara on the highlights replay. What an amazing rider, too bad he couldn't win alone on the line, would have been totally deserved. |

I wish Sagan would've won. Nibali initiated the attack so that was in the end the undoing of Sagans win. I think.
Cancellara was a beast but rode stupid he basically rode that loser wheelsucker Gerrans to a win.
I like to refer to Gerrans as the Australian Valverde. He just sits there, never does anything and waits for the last 200m in an uphill race to win. Or in this case following the best and then winning the sprint on the flat.
Valverde all over again.
If I have to watch that shit in the Ardennes again I'd rather see that horrible "skyline" movie again then this |

Well, what should he do then? He tried his best IMO, unfortunetely for him, it wasn't enough.

Yeah, he couldn't just stop working because then the group would have caught them. Only thing he could have done differently was break away alone on the decent, the others were no help at all, he could have held on alone.

If Nibali hadn't attacked on the Poggio, there certainly would be an attack of Cancellara on the last 6kms because he really had good legs. And if that happened everybody would look to Sagan and Nibali to close the gap.
So i think what Nibali did is kind of protectiong Sagan behind him.

how many times YOU won monument to call someone loser? I´m guess Sagan (or whoever else) would ride exactly the same if he´d be able to hang on Fabien´s pace on Poggio...
Cancellara is incredibly strong lately again though, I´m curious when he will be suspected from having engine in frame again

Does Cancellara have no tactical sense? He seems to be overestimating himself. Yes, he's strong and was probably the best rider yesterday, but you can't possibly win if you lead out two competitors for 10 km. |

He could have stopped riding with Nibali and Gerrans in his wheel, he then would have finished 10th in the sprint. He finished 2nd now. Better tactic than waiting in my opinion!

It's difficult to say. Did Gerrans know where Goss was? Would he give up his top-3, or would he take a turn if Cancellara stopped? I'm guessing he would, but obviously that's counterfactual. |
