Big thanks to jdog for making this AMAZING userbar!
Jens Voigt blowing up on twitter about the race officials. 4 teams were fined today for giving riders bottles during the race. Also, yesterday a MTN Quebeka rider was thrown out of the race after missing the time cut, due to the fact that he crashed and his bike fell down the cliff, and there was no neutral service car there to help. Fairly heated words.......

I don't think there's anywhere else to put this so here will have to do! Most of you probably won't care but I thought I had to put it here because I had such an amazing time.
I went to the Stafford GP last night (town centre crit racing) and managed to blag my way into the pit area with all the team cars, mechanics and riders
It was absolutely amazing being that close to the action, there aren't many sports where you can do that. It would be like being in the dugout during a football match!
Anyway, spent the night at the Rapha Condor and Node 4 team cars, standing with, amongst others, John Herety (Rapha Condor boss), Roger Hammond (Madison Genesis boss) and Tim Kennaugh (Pete's brother ). Plus, the MG Maxifuel mechanic, who's a bit of a legend, though I have no idea what his name is.
For anyone that follows women's cycling, Hannah Barnes was warming up right in front of me and she won the women's race so easily. Really classy rider. One of her "rivals" was telling James Mccallum (Rapha rider) how annoying she is because you just can't get rid of her! She actually looked genuinely pissed off!
On to the men's race and Tom Scully (Raleigh) attacked with 8 laps to go and just rode away from everyone. He's easily the strongest rider on the British domestic scene at the minute. Kristian House pulled out a "Cav rant" on the commisaires and threatened to punch one of them right in front of me!! He wasn't happy that they weren't pulling out the lapped riders and they had ruined his race. He had a face like thunder.
Other things: Owain Doull had two punctures in two laps, the look on his face when he pulled into the pits the second time was priceless. I may have accidentally kicked one of Node 4's Corima wheels but nobody saw so keep it quiet! I've never seen so many wheels, they were everywhere!! Michael Cuming walking round Stafford town centre in full kit made me laugh for some reason. He even had his socks pulled all the way up paired with flip flops, which is not a good look.
Also saw Ed Clancy and Felix English going to Greggs. Real athletes. Just a shame that Ian Bibby wasn't there
Nicely done from Ratto. I've had my eye on him ever since he did a great Pais Vasco last year. This should be good for his morale.
Looking forward to tomorrow's stage. Should be interesting to see if Quintana still has some Tour form left. It's him or Landa for the stage win, I think. I'll also look for how Nibali and Chernetskiy will do.
