He's a neo-pro. It'd be a bit hard for him to have shown himself in the mountains before

Baby Giro.
Where, incidentally, he lost quite a bit of time on the climbs.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

Because of that breakaway stage Mollema missed out on both the white jersey and possibly a top 10. But I'm still happy about his performance. He was among the top 10 best climbers this giro. I hope we'll see more of him in the future.
Porte has done great GC-wise. He didn't lose any time due to crashes or other things.

Porte said in an interview on cyclingnews he was completely dead on the first climb of the day today.
He almost lost it there, but Saxo pulled him back, after that he recuperated and did pretty well in the end. He was also sick straight after the Aquila stage
Kiserlovski reports he has been sick in the weekend with Grappa and Zoncolan.
Mollema was sick on Kronplatz and the stage Wednesday.
What's up with these young dudes getting sick? Low on resistance? |

I'm an absolute amateur but I can tell you I've been sick several times after solo tt where I pushed myself to maximum... |

So 100 riders in this Giro, including almost all the top 10, bar Porte, Kiserlovski and Arroyo, made a mistake?
Funny.
Youre saying that at least 100 riders in the Giro were going for GC, or specifically wanted to win that stage?
Of all riders, Mollemma is the one who turned out to have made the biggest mistake. He doesnt get the white jersey because of it.
Liquigas didnt make a mistake. Basso wins the Giro regardless, and Kiserlovski could be set for a Top 10 GC placing - and would also have taken the Young Riders jersey has Porte not done so well (and at the time, there was no guarantee that Porte would do aswell as he has done) Kiserlovski was also in that break
But really, is it so hard to admit Mollema was a better climber than Porte in this Giro?
Yes Kiserlovski was. That was my point
Nobody is contesting that Mollemma was a better climber. Just your ridiculous views ... (about the L'Aquila stage)

I still think Porte is a one-day fly concerning GT's.
He'll be more of a time trial specialist in the future.
He reminds me of McGee who also got a great Giro placing once.
and Mollema will be? |

More or less a pure climber. Will probably end up as super-domestique like Szmyd |

ES are delaying coverage due to the large drop outs yesterday.

I really hope Wozniacki wins the tie break now, so that she wins the match :-p If Penneta wins it they will play 1 more set... :/
The Norwegian commentery said sorry to everyone waiting for the Giro :-p But it was nothing she could do
