According to Brian Holm Cavendish said to him already last year that eh would come back riding for a good GC this year, and Cavendish himself said that he back when he rode it as a neo-pro thought that he might be able to win it some day.
Is this the way Cavendish wants to go when he lacks the topspeed?
Picking up bonus seconds, hanging on as long as possible on the hills and going all-out on the TT's?
And perhaps more winning solo like in the British championships??
And a Kelderman winner pic for Jesleyh:

We can't be sure, of course, but he probably knows that being the very fastest can't last a whole career. So, at some point he'll probably try to be less one-dimensional.
Still, he was on antibiotics at the beginning of this year's TDF, so it might be a little premature to declare him done for sprinting. We'll know more next season (he won't ride the Vuelta and has little objectives left, I think). |

@Aquarius: Of course, just remembered him mentioning earlier (think it was after he won the green jersey?) that he dreamt of winning a race solo, so something really does indicate that he doesn't want to end up one of those former super-sprinters, that only just can manage the odd podium.
Will be interesting to see where he takes his career anyway...

He won it from a 3-man sprint but he may try to make himself a new Sagan. Not sure I can see it though... |

Or maybe he'll go Boonen/Hushovd route - from sprinter to cobbler, in 2008 he was 17. and this year he was 18. in Gent-Wevelgem, so when he focuses on cobbled classics he may have chances for some good results. |

Gent - Wevegelem is a rubbish example, most of sprinters can make it through.
And Cav becoming a new Sagan? WTF?

Boonen has always been a cobbler. He podiumed Paris - Roubaix aged 21 ffs. He just happened to have a great sprint (and still has, just not as great).

As I said, I can't see it but I'm not sure I can see him being the sprinter he was. I reckon he'll try to change himself but into what I don't know. He may have to try though. |

Cavendish takes another win on Frederiksberg Allé, so now he gets to burn Brian Holm's new shirt (according to himself yesterday)
Kelderman not in trouble on the last stage, taking GC, Young riders and Points jersey
Martin Mortensen takes the hill-jersey
Bardiani best team

Alright, races like these aren't helping dissuade me from wanting 6-man teams. That was some awesome viewing there with all the attacks going on and everything! So you can go sock it Dan Martin |

Demare was my pick, BBC commentators never mentioned him all day talking about Goss, Sagan and Swift. I wonder where the first two were...
