Started my first PCM14 career!!! Went slightly different to usual and chose Bretagne-Seche. My intention is to promote at the end of 2015 and then try and hang on to the WT for as long as possible. I'll try and stick to 'realistic' transfers and racing, following a Cofidis/Europcar style. Luckily Sepulveda has good potential (75-77MO 75-77HL 75-77TT) so can be a nice long term rider on the team.
Things have started well at San Luis where Sepulveda finished 3rd GC (1st Youth) and we've got wildcards to Paris-Nice and TDF confirmed

Gewiss style @ the Giro with Astana. Since the win wasn't in doubt I made it my objective to see how much time it's possible to put into the AI to keep things interesting, turns out it's over one and half hours. Ofc would've been less if any of the big 3 showed up (AC/Froome/Quintana.) And before anyone asks it was using the PCMdaily DB on hard mode.

How did you get such a gap?

I have started a PCM14 career with Cult Energy using PCM.Daily Expansion DB on Hard difficulty with 0.5 development (I found 0.3 a bit slow). They still have Magnus Cort and a good supporting squad apart from the mountains. Mads Pedersen is a huge talent in my career ending season 1 on SP77 with 4 stars left!
During the transfer season I signed Tobias Ludvigsson, Josh Edmondson and a few handy U23s.
Even having achieved my best ever effort of 13 out of 15 sponsor objectives and getting promotion to PCT, I was not impressed with the renewal offer of 66.8k so I reloaded a weekly save, signed to Team NOS who offered 72k for 1 year, and then simulated to the end of the season.
I have created a highlights show of the season which features a 2nd place that inspired the choice of Who track.

Now how to get a high enough budget to renew Mads Pedersen in season 2, I have a Baldrick style cunning plan. I will reveal all in my season 2 report.

Having huge amounts of fun with Bretagne Seche. Brice Feillu finished 18th in Le Tour, season high point probably. Sepulveda had a great August-September bagging 4 wins and finishing 2nd at ToB behind Froome. Solid mid-table rankings finish to stay PCT.
Transfers were tough. Lost both Romain and Brice Feillu and really struggled to get in any big name rider to become team leader. Luckily Sepulveda developed to 75-75-73-72 (MO-HL-TT-PRL) so became GC leader. He was supported by 73MO Stake Laengen nad 73MO Pichon. My biggest signing was Adrien Petit with 75SP, 70HL, 73CB, to replace Romain. Also stacked up on talents becuase they were all i could manage to sign.
Holst Enger and Ewan for sprinting. Herklotz and Hnik for hills. Wisinowski for cobbles. Plus a few french guys.
First 4 months of the season were hard. No wins at all and lots of issues with illness and injury stretching the team. May really turned things around. 10th 12th and 16th in 4 Jours, plus 2 stage wins in the race, kickstarted things. Added 3 other wins in May, before the Dauphine came around. Sepulveda finished 12th GC and Perichon took a stage win. Suddenly the team has found form as we've jumped right up the rankings, and on current performance would be in the fight for promotion.
Le Tour was very good. Sepulveda finished 16thGC and 2nd in Youth. Herklotz wore the Yellow jersey for 4 days mid-race thanks to consecutive breakaways. Really strong race from a team with an average age of 25. No stage win but that next really big result is just a matter of when, not if.
Second season transfers i've just finished up. Sepulveda, now 76-76-74-72 (still with 2 stars on all 4 stats) is leaving to join FDJ and means we lose our best rider. So i somehow poached Geniez back from FDJ. Geniez comes with 77-75-73-73 and actually less wage than Sepulveda would have been. Other than that i made no big transfers, being severely budget limited, just adding some more talents like Latour, Guesin and Bauhaus.
Breche are withdrawing sponsorship at the end of the year. I got loads of offers but mostly from non-french companies and i couldn't do that. I've been forced into taking on Look as the new sponsor. The jersey is nice and they are French, but my wage budget will be cut from 93,000p/m to 60,000p/m. This is partly offset by equipment sponsors paying more money but luckily i've stacked 300,000+ in balance.
Lots of fun. Results really feel earned. The team is my team that i've shaped and am growing out of talents rather than having to sign big leaders. Promotion is probably a step too far this season, but with growth and increased options 2017 will see Look taking the WT by storm i guarantee it.
I will post a screen of my teams stats at the end of the current season

Just finished my first season as Orica Greenedge, overall I was very happy with the game and I really enjoyed. Anyway here are some results and stuff.
Tour De France: Contador
Giro d'Italia: Chris Froome
Vuelta a Espana: Contador
MSR: Kittel
Ronde Van Vlaanderen: Cancellara
Paris Roubaix: Tom Boonen
LBL: Dan Martin
Lombardi: Alejandro Valverde
WCITT: NIbali
WC: Rolland
The weirdest results are probably the world champs.
In terms of transfers I signed a few riders such as:
Ten Dam
Nocentini
de Backer
Vandewalle
Caleb Ewan
Vladimir Gusev
In terms of wins I won the santos tour down under with Michael Matthews and I won Oman with Adam Yates. Of course I won more races but theses were the most important in my opinion.
In terms of promotion and demotion, IAM and Netapp went up to the UCI World Tour and Europcar and Lotto Belisol went down. La Pomme and Optum went to the conti pro level and CCC Polsat and Novo Nordisk went down to the continental level.
My goals for this season are to get top 5 in the Vuelta with Chaves, win a monument and have a good transfer season where I hope to sign a top class sprinter!
I will also make a report for the second season once I finish it! |

Well, it's slightly difficult not winning everything with that team, even in extreme mode

Trying an Astana career on the FCD Database.
Only with riding every race on Auto-mode to test it, and it's quite funny... The strategics seem to work, even though I've only done the Bongo race in Gabon...
Agnoli secured a nice 5th place in the GC, and Guarnieri failed to even get out of the saddle for a sprint. Dyanchenko fell ill after stage 4 and he lost his top 15 place that way...
