Officially unluckiest rider of 2014 - not good to take him out of contention this way
Cant see why its unluck when its happening over and over again. Pinot cant ride downhill, Martin crashes outta nowhere - those are things that make you not win races |

I reckon Slagter brought some training methods across to Garmin from Belkin

Sigh
And I thought the worst thing that would happen to Canadian sports today would be losing in hockey (to FRANCE of all teams). Yep, this was worse. I didn't exactly have high hopes for Hesjedal, but I wanted at least to at least cheer for him being a GC contender (if only for a little while)

I put 150 PCM$ on him beating Roche...
I feel for him, LBL and now this. Hopefully it's a coincidence and not a habit. |

Only one guy i like in the final team and that is Rabbotini. How have Belkin done guys? Also Aru could be in good shape come the end of todays stage. |

Not quite enough to knock OGE off the top step of the podium, but that's going to be a big morale victory for BMC there.

I'm done. just done. Why do I even watch cycling? How does this happen. My God.
Once, it happens.
Twice, that can be coincidence.
Beyond that ? It's not chance or anything, here has to be a rational explanation.
My thought : they have GC guys in their team, plus are (were) contenders for the stage win, not the favourites but still. So, despite the wet road : max pressure in the tyres, perhaps slick tyres as well, because that can give you an advantage of 1% or something on the mechanical aspect. But that was too much for a wet road, so they fell.
Just guessing, of course. |

Massive result for Uran's GC ambitions there as well! OPQS finished just 5" adrift of GreenEDGE's time.

I'VE GOT NO FUCKING IDEA!
And he's off to hospital too, looks like. Focus on Le Tour, I'd assume/hope?
Depends if it's just the collarbone or the arm. If collarbone, he should be ready for Tour. If broken arm, less so.
I would hope not. He was going to the Vuelta anyway. Better just to focus on that now and maybe go to Pologne and stuff in my opinion.

Tour de Pologne features a flat 25k's TT this year, so nope |

And certainly would be better in my opinion, focus on Vuelta and the Worlds with Lombardia. He'd come one of the freshest riders there and could well be his first proper GC result.
Depends how he recovers and obviously what Garmin had planned for Tour and how this affect it now.
