Doesn't look like much will happen until the final climb. Sky still has their entire train left at the front.

Oh ffs the eurosport commentators are insisting this is a different climb of Alpe d'Huez that's not normally used
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

Better day for disrupting the train tomorrow but of course not many days left to try. |

Contador should put his team up front to isolate Froome, but Idk if they will do that.

Not yet. They're going pretty slowly.

Just got home. What happened?
Saxo Bank tried getting Hernandez and Rogers into the break over Col du Manse. Sky had none of it and Froome ended up closing the gaps on his own in the end. Only Saxo Bank was chased heavily, Movistar is apparently not a problem in the eyes of Sky.
Thanks.
Riis is trying his usual move and Sky is aware of it. They want to have someone in the break so that Contador can attack over the top of the alpe/Sarenne, be pulled by the teammates who drop from the break and gain time.
It's what Riis always does. Last year's Vuelta is the only time it actually worked.
Didn't work today either.

It was worth a try. It might work in 1/10 cases and at least they tried something.
Still Rogers there, who is a great domestique plus Kreuziger for Contador. Should be enough. |

Nope, being dropped as we speak.
They always are at the back trying to hop wheels back on. Don't they know anything of positioning?
