“Thank God they saved the team buses,†said Samuel Sanchez. “That would have been embarrassing. I wasn’t looking forward to changing in a mini-van.
Brilliant

If Wiggins won it, where the hell is Mo Farah? That should be the sportsman in my opinion.

It was sport personality, not sportman
Though it'd have been more logic the other way around... |

It's basically both though, so it doesn't matter that much.

They can afford him, probably
And they want to become an all around team, so he'd be a perfect GC man for them!
Please no, i want bigger roles for Czech and Slovak riders, Purito can just stay in 3rd division or whatever.

EDIT: Wait, there's also Velits. I don't think he'd like to become a domestique though.
Mr. 42nd in the Tour doesn't get to have a say on whether or not he works for the World number 1 ranked cyclist in GTs
He'll get chances in week-long ProTour races, to see if he does something for once, since he definitely didn't do anything in any of them this season.
You mean mr. 2rd at Vuelta? who was also 18th on Tour, where he would be in top 10 if not falling like Gesink style? But of course he is not anywhere near Purito, he would need much more doping for that anyway.

Also he won Tour of Oman in 2012, you should maybe start watching cycling again Isso.

Wiggins tells the Guardian that he wants to try the Giro-Tour double next season. (See bottom of article) Where does this leave Froome then? Told he will be leader at the Tour but it looks like he could be just faithful domestique again potentially.

Unless both Froome and Wiggins climb better than their opponents next July (which is possible, though not probable), I can't see Wiggins being the leader, as he'll probably crack before Froome in the mountains. |

Wiggins will most likely have a better first week, then crack. Question is how long it'll take Sky to realize that switching to Froome is better this time.

they will probably realise as the tour hits paris... This plan is bound to fail, because they never have a plan b for when plan a goes wrong

Feel sorry for Froome if this is true, finally he appears to be given a chance to lead a GT and in Wiggo walks in clicks his fingers and there's his chance gone, maybe they'll give Froome the Vuelta instead but that's hardly consolation when he's been told he'd be leading for the Tour. |

I think Froome needs to get out from Team Sky if he wants to realise his Tour ambitions |

Wiggins is the defending champion so has every right to do that, I doubt he can again but he should have the option to defend his title. I also don't think Froome will win the next Tour anyway

This really annoys me, and makes me dislike Wiggins even more.
I highly doubt that he'll be able to do both the Giro and the Tour on top level though. We've seen that not even Contador can.

I am pretty sure Contador could win all three GTs in one year if he would be in team Sky and using their "training plan". I mean, Froome almost won 2 GTs after riding nearly the whole year as helper. |

Sports Personality of the year: I'd like to screw over the guy who helped me win the Tour.
Something's just not right

@TourDeJosé tweets a picture of Wiggo at the end of his night. He looks absolutely out of it, but looks like he certainly enjoyed himself!
