Well those 4 have been the main contenders before the Tour began. Still sucks for so many...
Others ( if not hurt ) will have to attack, hopefully it will get more interesting.

Coppel for a top ten for sure I think now, he was in the peloton.

Greipel actually didn`t even want to sprint after his crash. Obviously he at least wanted to try but surely wasn`t at 100% today.
I wonder to what extent that was forced. "So, lots of your competitiors are behind, you only really need to beat Goss and Sagan. Have a go"
I think he is still in the fight for the green jersey and with so many sprinters behind it was a good opportunity to get more points in a less difficult sprint.
There is no green jersey fight. Sagan has the jersey, so long as he finishes the race.

Okay, well that was a pure sprint, nothing tricky, nothing fancy, and he is faster than Goss and Greipel. I think its time to start giving him 81ish sprint, 83ish accel.
Ignoring every other sprint were he failed to podium.
He's won 3 stages...don't know which tour you're watching...certainly no one is even close on the uphill stuff (hell he actually put a gap on one of his sprints). Of the 3 other stages he came in 6th, 5th and got caught in a crash. That's not a bad list.

+1, all the crashes have literally ended the fight for the jersey straight away as Sagan has been the one who has been in the Top-10 riders on most of the stages already. |

Obviously you don't, the GC teams are putting their riders at the front to protect them from crashes as was shown in 2011. If you look, its not the GC teams fault for causing the crashes because they are not happening right at the front of the peloton where BMC and Sky are sitting, they are happening in the middle of the bunch from riders who probably lose concentration for a split second or by other riders moving dangerously to try and get to the front. Sky and BMC have a good tactic as they are keeping out of trouble, its not them its the other teams and riders who have caused the crashes (and Farrar being dumb yesterday). So use your brain before posting stupid comments.
Try reading my post next time.
They weren't involved in just this particular crash. I'm talking about the panicky and insecure way the peloton has been riding this week in fear of a mass crash. I blame the GC teams for that, because they are pushing to ride in the front at all times. There's not enough space for that on the road, and therefore they cause more crashes.
This particular crash wasn't directly in the front of the peloton. It's so obvious that the peloton has been riding extremely anxious and insecure all week. This insecurity is caused by the behaviour of the GC teams.
In short: GC riders wannabe at front -> more crashes -> peloton feels insecure -> even more crashes.
Finally, if you keep calling me stupid for having a different opinion than your own, then I guess you don't have the basic 8th grade intelligence to understand the concept of a discussion forum. In your behaviour, you seem to be unwilling or unable to understand that calling people like that is offensive. Or, you simply just don't care.
Either way, fuck off you prick. |

Losing 2-3 minutes isn't enough of a gap to discount the riders who lost time today. They'll just have to attack from further out now. |
