Great story. Hope you can win the Giro with Garzelli. What are your targets with Masciarelli? |

It doesn´t make sence to fight for Maglia bianca against Fuglsang, so his main objective is to protect Garzelli...and concentrate for some partial success (maybe in stage 10? wait and see ) |

Stage 9
Today we are going to race in Milano, this should be the rest stage after yesterday´s exciting battle. But we must avoid any troubles, criterium stages are always dangerous.
And yes, several riders fell down. Soler, 10th man overall, was one of the victim. The most happy rider was without any doubt Roberto Ferrari from LPR.

Stage 10
Longest and one of the hardest stage is here. We are heading to the mountains again! Moncenisio, Sestriere and Pra´Martino...no more words are needed. The question of the day is: will Anton resist to expected pressure from Italians and keep maglia rosa? I can hope we will see our jerseys in front of race in decisive moments.
Early breakaway group, Tamayo, Tankink and Forster, who is just dropping in first small hill.
Same place, few minutes later...Gibo Simoni attacks! What is his target? He must know it´s suicidal mission, when there is still almost 200km left.
Simoni goes over Tamayo and Tanking during climb to Moncenisio.
Tamayo can´t follow.
Gibo on first summit, peloton is 10' behind.
Simoni, alone in front, has already summit of Sestriere in sight.
Several riders leading by Barredo are trying to sneak away from reduced peloton...
...but Ivan Basso has no mercy, pushing hard in front of P.
Gibo is reaches first Colle del Sestriere.
Reduced peloton is more than 5' back. 64km before finish, there is still Pra´Martino before riders.
After long downhill section, it´s Pellizotti who attacks in last climb first!
Garzelli, Masciarelli, Valjavec, Scarponi and Arroyo join him. Where is Anton?
Here...he is almost in contact with Pellizotti´s group.
But it´s not what we want to see, it´s Masciarelli who is starting pushing, And gap is increasing again!
Meanwhile Gibo passes last summit and is still leading by more than one minute!
Masciarelli keeps pushing and taking small advantage over other chasers!
Last 5km for Anton, he´s in very difficult situation, still trying to chase Garzelli´s group and without success.
Francesco joins Simoni less 2km before line!
Garzelli, Pellizotti, Arroyo, Valjavec and Scarponi are here too!
Francesco Masciarelli is sprinting for stage win in Pinerolo. Great victory for our young talent!
Stefano Garzelli is completing double for our team and takes Maglia rosa from Igor Anton, who lost almost minute today! Gilberto Simoni, hero of the day, was rewarded by Maglia verde at least.

Rest stage after longest stage and before extreme hard and long individual time trial. BOTD was caught in the only hill 25km to go. Then Carlos Barredo attacked, won KOM sprint, built nice gap a kept small advantage until finish. Nice win!

Stage 12
Long hilly ITT made some interesting changes in GC. Stefano Garzelli defended maglia rosa and even slightly extended his lead over his main rival Franco Pellizotti. On the other hand Igor Anton lost much time today and is already more than 3' behind. Ivan Basso demonstrated his power and won ahead of LL Sanchez and Garzelli and moved up to 4th place closely behind Anton.
