Is this the kind of race where the riders of the host country work together to at least let a Danish guy win, or is it a co-incidence? Smile

By looking at riders' names it looks that it was just a Danish breakaway which wasn't caught, as all the next riders are sprinters.

Yes, I figured that out already. But I'm sure they worked as 1 team Wink

Nikola Aistrup and Magnus Cort were the only remaining riders of a 6 man morning breakaway. Lars Bak attacked with about 10 kms to the finish, bridged the gap to the breakaway and Aistrup and Cort were the only riders able to follow him. Aistrup and Cort took a couple of turns, but by far most of the work was done by Bak, who was much fresher and much stronger than the other two, and he had a GC to ride for, so he couldn't really ride tactically for a stage win. This is a coincidence that happens because the Danish CT riders almost all of them try to get into the morning breakaway, it's the biggest race of their season, and because Lars Bak has one of his few free roles of the season, and he wants to gain time before the stage in Vejle where he probable expects to lose time to the best.

Atlantius
Brändle, Mørkøv and Debusshcere trying to copy the stage finish from yesterday in Denmark

Edit: It's the trio vs Omega Pharma

Matti Breschel beats the sprinters on the same place as he won his Danish Championship. He know holds the record for most stage wins in Post Danmark Rundt

Edit2: According to Breschel Modolos leadout burned both Modolo and Cavendish out allowing Kump to create a small gap with Matti on his wheel
