What a great start for both the team and Duffman! Clean sheat is always nice, but a goal on top, just awesome! He'll be signing autographs for the kids all night!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Awesome way to start the season. Glad Bobson seemed to play a key role in the shutout!

Disappointing that Sanchez didn’t get any time on the pitch. He’ll be working harder in training during the week to get a start next time out. Good result for the team though!

Glad to have started the first game and been a part of the historical first win over a difficult Hoffenheim. Hopefully Torres can make a bigger contribution in the future games.
Great job to everyone

Good win, seemed like the Destroyers were in control all game long

Couldn't have asked for a better start to the season! Stats show the win was totally deserved, Hoffenheim didn't stand a chance. Seeing little of Perfetto is always a good sign.

Great start against a difficult opponent. Happy to see Martens on the scoresheet again, hopefully we can also train new celebrations so he doesn’t make a fool out of himself next time. |

As you can see I made another thread for the results and statistics, which makes everything a bit clearer to follow in general for me, and also for you if you missed a game or several to just have them all together there. Posted the other games' results in the second post there as well. Hope I can give you the second game tonight, but might be tomorrow.

Too bad Sepp wasn't able to score an early goal, but giving the decisive pass for the team's first goal suits his role much better anyway. Well done!
Obviously, the entire team did a great job - I mean, beating a promotion contender three-nothing clearly defines the path we want to take!

Glad to see the regular season is here. Any chance we can get player ratings photo at the end of the match?

Unfortunate result from the team. Sanchez starting to feel as if he’s not being used particularly well as he believes he has what it takes to help this club win matches
Great idea from Mre!

Well, that definitely puts our feet back on the ground. The good defence and dangerous attacks from the last game are gone. The second goal in on Nemolito though, I clearly stated in my intro post Macduff "doesn't take any risks and prefers to kick the ball away over sophisticated passing"
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Wall was missing from the midfield, that was the case |

@Mre: Yes, I'll make sure to include the player ratings from now on! (Although I do'nt always agree with them)
@LLS: Sanchez is one of the players that hasn't been able to really stand out so far, but I'm sure that he is only one goal away of really finding a good form and being a more decisive player for the team
@Ollfardh: As every coach has ever done, it is my duty to blame the referee
@jax: Well, Wall will (hehe) be back in the next game against Boca Juniors, so he better helps us in securing the three points
First ranking update in the results thread now. Interesting to know is that the champion and nr. 2 will have direct promotion, whereas numbers 3-6 will fight it out between themselves for the final promotion spot.
Concerning injuries and suspensions. During the season, an injury in a game will lead to 1-3 games of not being able to play, whereas a direct red card will see you out of the squad for 0-2 games. Two yellow cards over several games lead to one game of not being able to start/being subbed on.

Sounds like Ottaviani has had a couple of solid games to start the campaign off and that if we had better finishing he could have got multiple assists in that one.
Hopefully he can keep his personal form up when he's next in the side and we can get a team performance more reminiscent of the first game

Huber again had a few good actions after being subbed on, so his form looks really promising. Now let's just score now or then, play a few more through balls like the one to Torres, and I'm fine with his performance. Good job so far!
Unfortunately, the game was already lost by then - but the next one will come soon enough I guess. Let's build upon match 1 performance, and see what happens!

Magic Nuts! A lucky win, but a solid 6.9 for Perfetto.

Nuts is Nutz!
Win is a win and we move ahead to the next game. Hoping for more influence from Torres going ahead.
