Parreno with a solid result in U23 Roubaix, would have been nice to have my first Spaniard on a cobbled race podium even if it was only U23.

I was concerned Safford's poor stamina might be a handicap, he was able to overcome it for a fine win at U23 Paris Roubaix and 4 in the top 20 means a great points haul for Suntory.

Eisaks continues to set Suntory best ever records in cobbles races with 5th at E3.

Mixed feelings on San Remo, the train was there and somehow Kittel loses Sanz wheel at a critical moment. On the other hand hard to complain about 4 in the top 15 and nobody falling off. Benoot with a great rice, nice to see since he hasn't been useful anywhere else. As a focus race that should be a good haul.

Filliers-Mora controlled the race and deserved the win so congrats

Wasn't expecting anything from the cobbles so not that worried but bitter about Vanbilsen getting 8th in E3, never came close to that for me. Shout out to my TTer Vychodil for 19th in U23 Paris Roubaix.

Thanks dominox for two great results for my men. Our first ever WT classic win and the first ever podium for our U23 team. Sagan is everything we had hoped for. Shelton 3rd in such an illustrious race with his COB 67, very impressive.

We won!!! Nice to see the Czechs are paying off.

seems that 4th in E3 could be better in a small group for Phinney, but looking at the bad positioning on Oude Kwaremont I take this for good. Again, other 2 riders in top20 are some good points.
Sagan showing that his wage effort is well paid.

Another fine BP result dished out by dominox. At this rate if he does the Giro I expect the ICL Geoghegan Hart to do as well as the real one did in the 2020 edition. Smile

Since HQ posts are a lot of work, maybe managers can check in quickly by giving their season so far a subjective rating out of 10.

At the end of March I'll give BP 9/10. I'm very happy with my captains Sagan, Cav, Majka and Tao and we did well in our first focus race. Only downside: I knew we'd lose some depth scoring, but there's really been very little so far, starting with Stannard I hoped for a little more.

Great, another podium! At this rate maybe even the world cup is not out of reacht yet (although I think Sagan is really going for it again while I don't always send GVK to every WC race.)
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

I have no idea if my results are good or bad. We're pretty much a one-man band with Senechal. In terms of focus races he cocked up Dwars Door and got 3rd in E3. Don't know if that's considered good or bad, but I guess it could be better or worse Pfft

Novikov looks like he's doing okay in stage races. Getting some top 10s Zubeldia style probably. If we could somehow luck into a stage win or KOM jersey that would pretty much make me happy. At the end of the day most predictions had us near the bottom and I'm not really fussed if we end up there Smile

It's all subjective anyway. I could have given my team 5/10, doing as well as expected, but I'm easy to please so I gave a high score. Smile

I could go deep into focus race mathematics if you like. Briefly, you will have lost budget with Dwaars for sure, but E3 will more than have made up for it.

@Ollfardh: I certainly saw GVK as the most dangerous contender for Sagan and the World Cup ahead of the season. Here's Sagan's scoresheet so far (I think):

Yeah, I got van Poppel doing all the sprint classics and definitely did not send GVK to the time trials (even though he might score there), not even sure if all the hill races are covered so I think it'll be Sagan again as I can't gain enough on results.

mixed feelings from Criterium international...first historic TT win but bad performance in the mountain stage...
very disappointed by Gent Wevelgem, Phinney last of the main group, a disaster considering his sprinter skills

Demare is really the dominator of Gent - Wevelgem Smile

Ranking Update posted! Sagan already has a large lead in the World Cup. He scored points in every race so far.
The promotion spots are currently occupied by 3 new teams, which is cool to see. Grupo Argos might not have had their best month but still managed to extend their lead.
Relegation fight seems to be rather close at the moment. No comments about Vegeta.

I think it's cool that Eisaks and Pintzopoulos have the same amount of points in the PR rankings as well as World Cup standings.

Ollfardh
Shooting up the rankings like there's no tomorrow! Argos out of reach again, but with a good April we can climb to second place until the Giro hits.

U23 is a bit more disappointing, was hopnig for more this year.

Thanks to an amazing Nerz we lead the CT ranking, which is unexpected tbh. As I mentioned before, Rui Costa is scoring decently in stage races, but in the classics (of which there are many to come) he simply fails to do anything. Same with Van Avermaet so far, with an eleventh place as his best result. Was very happy to see Karlsson second in Paris - Roubaix U23, obviously the highlight of his career so far (and probably for ever Pfft)

Nerz and Herklotz on their way to maybe "win" the CT Ranking for Germany Smile I was stupid to not sign up Nerz for any classic/short stage race (only Jurassaine) because I thought he would score more points in longer stage races. Pprd obviously would/could have been better with more classics, but at least this could be positive for the German ranking Wink

First Herklotz race, first Herklotz win! Cool

I have to say that I'm severely disappointed by his TT result to not even make the top 10, and having Berhane hold on to s.t. on the climb isn't a good effort either when you're up by 3mo.
At least the gaps from 5th onwards got bigger, but to ensure that no surprising situations can catch us out in the longer stage races, there's still work to do.

On the other hand, Fabian Schnaidt delivered perfectly on the first stage to make up for all that with a narrow stage win!
He's had a so-so season start, being inconsistent but with a couple of podiums, and since winning that one stage was enough for the points jersey already, he's well on track to a good season now.

One thing I was surprised by though was the KoM rankings, did we manually adjust how many points the final climb awarded to have the jersey go to a breakaway rider, or was Herklotz just that unlucky that the climb was categorized so low that he only finished 7th in the KoM rankings?

Considering how many points the green and KoM jerseys give, I certainly banked on tough final climbs giving lots of KoM points when selecting focus races, to have a good shot at the jersey and improving our points haul from those races for more budget.

Last climb only gave 7 points, so not much I could do about it.
