slt a tous.
Je viens de me lancer et j'ai suivi a la lettre la procedure d'installation. Mais lorsque je veux lancer une partie j'ai uniquement la pastille verte sur "vrais noms" et les deux DB (light et normal);
Donc je n'ai ni les nouveaux maillots, ni les parcours 2017 du TDF par exemple.
j'ai forcement merdé quelque part mais ou ???
merci
English please.
Slt has all
I just launched myself and I followed the letter Verfahren of Installation. But when I want to start a game I only have the green dot on "real names" and both DB (Licht und normal);
So I have neither the new jerseys nor the 2017 runs of the TDF by beispiel.
I forced to shit some teil but or ???
Thank you

Ok.
Basically, unlike other dbs, we don't really use the Steam Workshop because the latter is very limited and we couldn't add everything we have in the db otherwise - for example, equipment, or fixes to the local.cdb, such as realnames for the WT and new difficulties.
Therefore, we install our files in the main game path like in the past editions of the game. This way, Steam Workshop thinks that only the db changed in our mod, while pretty much everything editable was changed.

Not all races have 2017 routes, we're not superhumans and it's impossible to have all races with updated routes - most races haven't even released their new routes, and for most of them, finding accurate data is a pain in the ass too.
As for the 2016 teams, could you explain what you mean or take a few screenshots of the situation?

thks a lot
i speak English like a Spanish's cow...
thanks for the precision. In fact it works, I have the jerseys, bike and stage 2017 EXCEPT the "tour de france 2017" ??
I even add the extra pack so I have the "tour de france" from 2009 to 2016 + some fictitious rounds but I do not have 2017. and in the archive I do not find it either ...
i'm a "boulet" |

The Tour literally released their route last week, impossible to make a GT in such a short time

I bit of feedback.
I really like what you've done here and noticed in my careers even in 2020 the gaps stay pretty close in small tours and normal in GT's, and there is no overlord, even though Quintana/Pinot are now the stronger ones, they are not overly dominant.
But, a word of advice. I've noticed the weak fields in the new world tour races and races that shift calender month.
There is a really easy way to fix that.
STA_program and STA_program_info might seem complicated at first, but it's actually really easy.
STA_program defines per month, which programs a leader (leader_specialisation) might follow.
The id's listed there are the ids' of STA_program_info... each ID contains a list of races (usually of the same month) were the riders will participate in.
So all you've got to do for, say for example Cadel Evans Great Ocean race, is look up in sta_program for january which type of riders you want to participate (sprinter, ardennais), then go to their respecitive sta_program_info id's and for that month, and then add Cadel Evans Great Ocean race in some (not all, you want diversity) of the programs they can chose from. Obviously the more you enter the race in february programs, the more likely the field becomes stronger and stronger.
I've did this myself for countless races in career mode when I modified the db and promoted/relegated races to the World Tour etcetera. It's real easy to do. It's not half as complicated as it looks. |

I used to edit STA_program and STA_program_info in my own career for a long time, so yeah I think I know how it works. The reason (apart from having little time) that I stopped caring about them in the last few years is that I have a feeling someone told me the game engine doesn't use them anymore. I might be just imagining it though, I didn't do any testing myself.
Do you have a strong feeling the changes you make are reflected in the game? I guess we could ask someone from Cyanide, because with all the changes in race calendar, it would be appropriate to address these too as you rightly point out.

@Togo95: Up to a certain level , programs are decided on abilities/type of races
however, for leaders, programs are decidedly solely by these 2 factors. I'm convinced of that, as I've tested this out in the 2016 edition and you'll notice an instant change in the rider fields when you edit that.
Try to edit in the ENECO Tour in STA_program_info for every possible GT rider type (giro, vuelta, tour specialisation) and see the change.. you'll have Contador, Froome and Quintana show up to the ball |

No you don't. Because then you don't get all the fake names.
You've selected the wrong DB when starting. |

Nah, he just doesn't have the game 'from steam' and therefore doesn't have the first official patch installed.
Please read the FAQ.
