You did not see the 2007 race did you?
Yup I did, but at least there were 2 riders fighting it out.

I wish I had the video. The guy grabbing the rider and pointing the other way is the second funniest thing I've ever seen in cycling

I actually thought it was an okay race. It wasn't super-exciting, but at least something happened once in a while. |

A great win for Devolder. Quickstep is looking pretty good. 5th for Hincapie.

It was a great race! I really enjoyed it. And since I'm a big fan from Devolder, I was really happy with his win. He deserved it. Doing such a win after all the work he did for Boonen already. Just great!
Best race I already saw this season I think |

Double Belgian in a Belgian top race. You're happy now, I guess? |

It wasn't a great race, but still enjoyable. Good win for Devolder, although I'm a little disappointed more of the 'big guns' never really closed it down more. |

whenever you see someone say the race wasn't boring, one of two things happened:
1. it was an unbelievable race that will live on in cycling lore for ages
2. His favorite rider won

I go for 1, what an incredible race, I never saw such a classic in the last .... well let's say 10 years!? Incredible action far from the finish already.
And also some huge revelations. Langeveld
I update his website, I know he is good, but not THAT good, even a chauvinistic fanboy like me didn't see this one coming. At just 23-years old, this is our biggest hope in the cobbled classics. And Terpstra omfg, another big suprise! I didn't know he could go with Ballan, Boonen, Nuyens, Flecha and co on the Kapelmuur
And the biggest suprises for me personally were Gregory Rast (who?? what?? where??) and Devolder. Attacking from so long and still holding them all off!! |

Pretty weak that they can't catch 1 man, simply not good enough.
comment of the day.
It isn't a game where you can simply put every rider and put him on 99 and catch the rider in front, even though they are far weaker...
Devolder is simply too strong, and a time trial specalist mind you. It isn't easy to catch such a rider when he has 20 seconds. |

Langeveld and Terpstra did have good races, but I'm not sure if their capable of repeat performances. I know Terpstra's been in great form over the past few races, but still, its a big step up if asked/expected to do it regularly.
I hope they can keep racing so strongly throughout the remainder of the cobbled classics to prove themselves one way or the other. |
