Congrats to Demare.I take my words back.He clearly isn't overrated.

Demare finaly winning his big classic. Well done to him. Nice try by Roelandts though. Karma's a bitch, eh Nacer?

The crash was unlucky, but Gaviria really impressed me by still being there, this guy has a great future ahead of him. Winning Paris-Roubaix was his dream, I believe? I think he just made his claim he can handle the distance, now for the cobbles Wink
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Gaviria would have won if he had not crashed. Bouhanni would have won if he didn't get malfunction. Benoot would have won if he started...fffsss

That crash by Gaviria frustrates the hell outta me. I wanted to see him sprint for the win.

Given the fact Demare has had his Matt Goss moment I reckon he would win comfortably.

Demare is the way bigger talent tho, pretty confident he isn't a one trick. Only 24 y/o and some big results at this stage already.

Totally agree! Goss never had the work ethic and loves to party to much, Demare doesn't strike me as that type

On the other hand, its good to be reminded that after all, he is still a rook. Would be too much had he won MSR in his first season

No it'd been perfect, especially because I bet on him. Ah well, he'll win enough stages to come and hopefully MSR one. I'm already getting ready to print some shirts next time around #GaviriaMSR2017

Best thing today: Bouhanni didn't win.

Matthews would of won if he hadn't crashed, someone from the morning break would of won if the Peloton didn't bring them back, Coppi would of won by 14 minutes if he was still alive

A Colombian win in Paris-Roubaix would be something special. Wink

To be fair, the way Poggio was ridden, Cipollini could have been there too. Probably the laziest Poggio ever.

Me and Shonak are reasonable, fair-minded fans that wishes the best for everyone (apart from Mocha and Ten Dam) and likes to watch some ol good racing. Objective observers, if you will.

I remember you listening every Lotto rider except for Jürgen Roelandts if that's what you're asking. Pfft

(I agree, also 2wift has done well in MSR before.. it suits him well enough definitely)

Hey, I do like Ten Dam, it's just that he's sometimes a bit gross on the bike.

Credit to Swift he is a nice threat for MSR, he is doesn't have that express pace but in those sorts of situations he is a threat and always a useful teammate. He does climb very well.

Demare is defo a mild upset sort of Ciolek like. But that is the beauty of this classic really high number of possible outcomes.

Very ineteresting lats 10 klicks - I was surprised we didn't see something big from Cancellara but sometimes there just is not the chance.

Tough luck for quite a few guys with the crashes really. But that is classics as well.

Beautiful winner, with a very strong race after many disappointments. Somewhat glad Bouhanni had a failure as well, guy does not deserve proper bikes. Boasson Hagen will finally live up to his potential this season, or maybe the next, Norwegians will be back here. Gaviria with a stupid rookie mistake, forgiven as he's a rookie, but cost Sagan a decent chance, and Cance as well, but I doubt he would be able to do anything. Valverde a pathetic no show without any real effort.

Can we please fast forward to the 3rd stage of Catalunya? I wanna see a decent columbian bike-handler to leave them in the dust!
