The European GP was either in ESP or GER the last years, so thats closer to Canada than Azerbaijan.

Just checked it and Paul's right, Eurasia is much further away from Canada than Spain or Germany.

Montreal > Baku = 8940.02 km
Montreal > Valencia (home of 08-12 European GP) = 5835.35 km

Turns out Montreal is actually closer to almost anywhere in the Northern Hemisphere than Asia too, wouldn't have thought that.

Having said that it's F1, so why are you guys surprised at all? The entire thing is/was just designed to give Ecclestone and his cronies as many millions as possible.
