It is because of the stat matrix. Almost all riders have a ftr over 70. But it is strange that all of them have a stat limit over 80. Never happened to me. Can you tell me how many are they +/-?
About 10 were under 70, the same for 70s, 3 were 80-83. All others 84 or 85.
I edited it in my save but only for top riders, others still have the high limit. Could that pose a problem later?
That shouldn't be really a problem, still a bit strange. I will look into the xmls, thank you

I've downloaded and installed this database but when I go into options in the game I can only choose the default database. Also nothing has installed in the database folder, I've only got nine .data files and one .exe (the installer). I'm trying to install it to version 1.3.1.0 if that helps.

You installed it to the correct patch, so that's not the problem.
A: Where have you installed the DB?
B: Are your documents folder and game folder on the same hard drive?

One question that is stage related: Is it possible to reduce all intermediate sprints to just one in all Tour de France stages prior to 2011?
I'm currently playing the 1989 Tour de France of which some of the stages have four and even five or six intermediate sprints. Due to the new points system, this means you can easily go from last to first in the points classification in one or two stages. Also, it's too tiring for the sprinters in the peloton having to sprint seven times in a 250km stage.
I don't know if this is up to the stage makers. I hope it's easily fixed. =)
EDIT: Come to think of it, I don't even know if the 1989 Tour de France was in the Daily EP...

IIRC you should modify the stage file, it isn't a thing that you could do in-editor or something. Though, since sprint classification is correct, you won't gain seconds with the intermediate sprints.

Ok, that's what I was afraid of. =)
Also, I'm not talking about seconds. One of the flat stages in the 1989 Tour is 250kms long and has 6 intermediate sprints which means between 90 and 120 points for the breakaway (in case of three riders). That + the fact that the peloton will have to speed up and sprint seven times (including finish) in a 250km stage is what I dislike. It burns your riders and as we all know, the AI doesn't burn as quickly as the player controlled riders...

A: I've installed the database in the location suggested by the installer: Computer > COMPAQ (C:) > Program Files > Cyanide > Pro Cycling Manager - Season 2014
B: Everything is on C.
I tried installing it again and I've now got a PCMdaily DB Backup in the correct location (the one above). Also I have a Local.cdb and a Users.cdb in the Database folder alongside the OfficialRelease.cdb file (the only one that appears in the games options menu). So are the Local and Users files from the database or were they there from the games installation I just hadn't noticed them?
Basically, I have no clue so what step should I take next?

@biscuits, but are you sure that the directory where you installed the game is named Season and not Season in your language?

I solved the problem now. The database installed in Progamme Files but it needed to Users/me/ Documents/PCM etc. Thanks for the help and quick replies.
Oh and great DB.
Edit: Actually now I've actually started playing the game I've realised that every race apart from the big ones are Plouay - this isn't right is it? So I need some help sorting this problem and is there anything else from the database that is likely to bein the wrong place?

Will V2 of the Expansion have more National Teams? It's kinda annoying that the best Time Trialist can't win the World Championship, he's swedish so I think a country like that should participate in the World Championship, not complaining about the likes of Eritrea not being in. |

There's a limit on the number of National Teams in the game. Meaning we have to choose between countries, we can't include more.
