I'm sorry, but in all his past years the best he had from a GT was a 9th place. Now he's nearly 42 and he's very close to win one. I don't believe in miracles, something happened. I mean, he's been great in every single stage, that's just unbelievable. |

I hope he does and isn't caught. I mean, Froome wasn't. "They must be clean".

I think stage 18 and 19 does not suit Nibali at all, short climbs to finish and Horner/Valverde/Purito might get better of him. But climb at Alto de L'Angliru is long steep climb and surely Nibali will manage to drop everyone. Because fatigue will come into play for others, and Nibali will get only better in last week. |

why is everyone so harsh on Horner, remember Horner wasn't that bad before the vuelta and now he has almost no fatigue, is in good form, while others have fatigue. |

This is not a computer game, ffs. There is not fatigue screen, which means that if you are not racing whole year, you can win Vuelta coming from seniors house.

Maybe Nibali might not win afterall. Read article www.velonews.competitor.com/2013/09/n...ead_302367
He himself said that he is producing less power than Giro. Might be same with Valverde/Purito leaving Horner's path clear.

On the subject of Niblles, I've read he remained out of racing for two months after his Giro win (I had noticed, although he still rode the NC), but more incredibly, he apparently stayed off his bike for one month. I didn't think it was possible for pros, bar when they're seriously injured.
I wonder if he'll totally crack in this last week, or if he'll benefit from some freshness along the way. |

If that happens, he will become the oldest GT winner ... |

Well, this community ruined me as a cycling-fan Why did I develop criticism in the only thing I wasn't being critical and still enjoyed?
But seriously, so far it's been one pisser after another, I only enjoyed a handful of things so far. Seeing Horner doing these things really sucks out all the fun for me (it reminds me of Stijn Devolder's attack in the Belgian NC), same goes for Cancellara's climbing abilities and it scares me that he has a chance of becoming World Champ! |

Chis Horner winning the Vuelta is like.... Ben Johnson beating Usain Bolt, Caterham winning F1-races, A VW Golf 1 being faster than a new Porsche 911, Lance Armstrong winning 7 Tours, Miley Cyrus not making a fool off herself and Kenny not getting killed each episode of SOuth Park.
Put that guy back on Haloperidol and bring him back to his room in the elderly home, bothering the people there with his stories about how he was in the race to win a GT in 2013 using doping....

It can be way worse. Imagine Moreno winning. I've been having nightmares since isso mentioned this possibility and I realised there's a (small) realistic chance of it happening.

Don't worry his shape is going downhill faster than ethiopian running after a chicken. And btw I know that you have mentioned your reasons for not liking Moreno, but can you refresh my memory? |
